Hi there, you can call me Syn. This piece is an ongoing project I have given myself to help make Alpha a more accessible character and maybe even teach you some things you haven't perhaps considered.
When completed, this thread will contain everything you need to know in order to learn the Just Frame machine from block punishment, to okizeme, to character specifics and even some matchup advice. Though it will take time to complete.

Chapter 1: The Basics

1.1 - Basic Notation.
On 8wayrun.com, to make things much simpler, we abbreviate all inputs in the following manner:

If you are not familiar with the notation, use the above information as a reference as it is a universal language here.




1.2 - Alpha Patroklos Specific Notation.
To avoid confusion, here is some additional notation you may see around here which you will need to know:

JF T - Sakura Twister (Just frame) 214 3a:B
JF O - Sakura Twister (Just frame) 214 3a:B
BE - Brave Edge attack. eg. 44B+K BE = 44b+kA+B+K
CE - Critical Edge attack eg. CE = 236236A+B+K
Apat - Alpha Patroklos
Alpha - Alpha Patroklos
Patsuka - Alpha Patroklos (I do NOT advocate using this term though, it looks bloody awful.)
