Updraft Not wise to use against Natsu with a full meter or Ivy Natsu because with a full meter, her Curse Of Arahbaki CE can catch you even when high up in updraft Ivy because she can counter with various whip moves i..e. Ivy Lick (6B2), Arch Cage (6b2A+b+k)
Shouldn't Updraft be a no no against a good Natsu any way as she can stalker grab you? The range on that move is insane...
The stalker grab isn't really that great. It's all about spacing. With Natsus, I tend to space and use K after Updraft. Gets them every time.
It's a niche move. Escape some bad situations, hit them when they have no practical way to get you out of the air. UD A for sidestep/persona shift, UD B for a wannabe frametrap, UD K for combo damage.
In cases against more expert players. Updraft A would be the most appropriate. I've found that it's common for expert plays to try and sidestep once Tira is in Updraft as Updraft seems to be the most common attack in Updraft.
I'm not sure if you guys have noticed, but a Tira is now number one in Legendary Souls on Xbox LIVE. His Tira was only 8% in his used styles, about 6 on the list of eight... yet somehow, he beat it in less than two minutes. Now, as much as I'd like to believe this is possible, he also had modded characters, so I'm fairly positive this is fake.. I really don't see how she could do this. She doesn't have enough mixup and damage potential. You'd have to be in Gloomy the entire time and even then, I don't think she could really do it.
Well kinda having a litle trouble with Maxi, more specific if i atak him or try to play more denfensively
Without getting too specific, it's generally a good idea to be aggressive against Maxi as much as possible. You don't want him to begin his mix-up game bs. If you do find yourself on the defensive end though, try to recognize his more commonly used moves. For example, the K of his 4BBK string hits high, so you always want to duck and punish the last hit. More advanced players will mix it up though, so you'll need to be aware of that. Also, just as a heads up, this kind of question would probably be better asked in the match-up thread. It's not a big deal though.
As far as wall combos go, for GS BE 2A A W! into GS BE/normal 2A A what would be an alternative for a wall impact? I'd try it out myself but my fat ps3 just pulled a yellow light a few moments ago. T__T
Hey, i have a question. When i use A+B, sometimes is works just fine, but sometimes after the effect, Tira just keep hitting her head instead of just being able to move.. Is there a way to avoid this? I use this move for some matchups, when i unleach a JS B+K.. @Meds I guess you meant 3A A? I'd probably go for a GS 3A A BE W! 4 B,B,B 2A+B 666B or something like that.. ( But i'm not quite sure it was your question, heh^^ )
Yeah, slight typo screwed up the entire question. If you hold A+B you're going to get more pain animations. If you successfully GI with A+B, you can get a different animation depending on spacing.
