    Normally I would take offense to this, but this coming from someone play alpha, kinda ironic no? I highly doubt Viola would be top tier, last time I check she is in the bottom mid no? On the other hand, patsuka got a buff ... no reason for you to lose anymore um?

    He got some buffs and some nerfs. I hardly consider narrowing the 1B:B JF to one frame a buff, and 8A+BB, one of his primary combo tools, took a damage hit. Besides, Alpha takes work, more than most other characters. Given his propensity for having dropped combos (higher likelihood of execution errors than any other character), I'd say there's still lots that can hold you back. I don't claim to be perfect, but I do claim to be working on it, and am improving. I'm actually enjoying the challenge - it's a long term investment.

    Your reasoning in this post exposes your own rationale, though: "oh your character is imba so you shouldn't lose, right?" Yes Harry, because tiers are everything.

    Viola is bottom mid according to who? I don't trust a tier list one and a half months into a game; that's just naive. I've heard her placed anywhere from dead bottom to upper mid, depending who you asked, and that was pre-patch. She has a lot of tricks most people are entirely unaware of, and I'm discovering new stuff with her every day. This patch gave her really significant improvements to some of her most important tools. I don't think people realize how dangerous the VS B+K BE buff is going to be. 10 damage to 50...?

    I'm in the camp that thought she was at least upper-mid pre-patch. In the new environment, I think she's looking quite strong.

    Anyway, I hope you have fun playing the character. If I see you at A&C we can run the mirror, maybe learn a few tricks from each other. She's certainly got a lot of potential for creativity.

    Think about it, you used Amy in SC4, one of the most braindead and top tier characters in the game, then you used Natsu in SCV who was similar (just not as braindead), and as soon as she gets nerfed and another fast character gets buffed to top tier status you suddenly pick her up. So what do you expect people to think? lol

    My opinion on this topic.

    There is no reason to bash anyone for their decisions in choosing a specific character.

    If Harry feels he would do better with Viola thats up to him. Natsu lost some tools that perhaps Harry relied on. Viola looks like a good choice for a new character.

    Harry is a good player, and is better than a lot of players in the community currently. With the right tools, Harry has the potential to be a top player. Just like everyone else.



    Some people choose a character due to tier, and some for recognition, or just because they have fun. I have respect for everyones reasoning. Together as a community we grow.

    Haha... I was a Hilde main the day this game came out; when trying out all the characters, Hilde and I had a 'connection' :). No really, check out the Soul Arena. I guess you were the only known one in Toronto though... nice to make your acquaintance.
