Ezio Gameplay Video Critiques

Hey guys, I saw there is a pre-launch video thread, but figured since the game's out it's time for an updated video discussion area. Here are some of my own gameplay videos, any feedback is more than welcome!

Just got around to watching the videos today. There is only a few major things that stuck out for me which i feel qualified to discuss. That being...

I didnt notice much sidestepping against Raph in the first vid. I think 22/88Bing that whore could have bypassed all that poking BS and got you a win.

No 2ks. I might be mistaken but, i'm pretty sure that is so low it can duck mids. I tend to get good results from that.

More 6Bs. I know 3B is good for the damage but i'm pretty sure 6B is a faster, better punish.

Use more BEs. You dont want to sit on full meter and waste it.

are there no videos of high-level ezio players? I know it is new character etc. but there has to be someone who can play him at a decent level....

Maybe a lot of tourney level players have toyed around with him a little and probably do a better job than any average player that mains him. If you ever got in touch with any of them, then i'm sure you could get some demonstrations. Sadly, it seems no one is giving a shit about Ezio too much though. Probably because he is a guest.

That’s silly and I doubt it’s true. This isn’t France, most people here couldn’t care less about guest vs non-guest status, if the gameplay is good. It’s more likely that people just aren’t seeing a whole lot of competitive potential with him, or that those who are good with him simply aren’t very active posters.

I think he means why would someone learn Ezio if they don't expect he will be in SC6.
That’s a relatively more valid concern, but considering everyone’s move sets change from game to game anyway, I still highly doubt anyone around here really cares about that. I mean, people mained SW characters in IV, and they knew they weren’t returning. It’s not about SCIV, or SCVI; it’s what you can do in SCV that matters right now.

You got everything down for the most part, except that you don't hitconfirm 1BBB. Occasionally you don't react to Tira 1A and tend to duck randomly too, but this is clearly online and I have no idea what connection you were playing on, so I can't say a lot. You've definitely got some wall juice that I don't have committed to muscle memory yet!

I'm mostly posting this for the lolz (I'm hardly trying to play Ezio seriously, mostly just trying to get my 10 wins in for the trophy before I rank up, so spacing, throws, crossbow trolling and 2k; I think I've lost the only combos I worked on, too), but this was an amusing fight with my scrubby Ezio vs a b-ranked Cervy. Of particular note were the points where he elected to engage in a ranged duel with me!

Also, does anyone else think that the "10 wins in ranked with E" goal is a mode of trolling the player base? Hey, players, have a bunch of people who are just in it to get wins with whatever terrible tactics they can manage!

Your love of the crossbow will come back and bite you when you start to play people who know the match up, on whiff it's extremely punishable. You also like using 66bb which isn't bad but if they block the first hit they can step the second hit and punish you. I've been punished for using 66bb BE a lot lately by better players because they can JG the second hit of it. It's always better to just go for 66b since hit confirming is really easy with that move. Final thing is you should be moving around a lot more if you are using Ezio, standing still is something you shouldn't be doing in this game.
