I am watching the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers on twitch, and asked bandaiNamco info about SCVI. The answer gives me some hopes so I want to share it!
I don't think 1AA/AB has STC frames unfortunately...It was probably a random whiff.
A good counter to Mitsurugi 4b is an empty sidestep after he starts the move, it works fine and you can punish him heavily. :sc5ast1:
If the opponent doesn't air control you'll catch him everytime, of course.
No, it is not.
After 6B+K the best options should be:
- 6B, for great damage; side ringouts
- 1BB, very long front ringout
3KA is not guaranteed most of the time, the opponent can air control before getting hit by the 2nd hit.
Close to the wall it's harder to air control, so it might be useful at the end of a wall combo.
For example: 22B BE, A+G W!, 3KA W!, B6B, 88K, 22B BE, 3KA
After B+K going for a command grab is a good choice because you have huge frame advantage (+13), if the opponent doesn't duck it's guaranteed.
If you think he is going to duck, go for a low grab :P
Being i16, it can successfully punish all the moves that you would usually punish with 66b (for example Cervantes aB, or Pat 236B, Pyrrha 236B, Mitsurugi 3B, ecc...), but much more heavily. Being always ready for it it's a must.
It's also great when used after a GI, being 100% guaranteed.
