    i ended up getting in 4th. i lost to thermidor and jjj. i think today more than anything matchup inexperience really was obvious for some of it cuz i had no idea what to do against certain things. overall im pretty happy with how i did.

    this community seems to be have a lot of people that drop a game until it gets patched if they cant beat something. its sad.

    Even if you're willing to ignore balance you can't possibly argue that things like Viola's back grab infinite are ok. Try getting around that and get back to me.

    the thing about skullgirls and sfxt is that the game itself is bad because the system is completely broken. as far as marvel goes, people have found out how to beat phoenix, which i dont see why people cant do taht now. as for characters go, nobodys forcing you to play an ass character. shits called a character select screen for a reason.

    as for viola's back throw infinite, thats banned anyway so who cares. and as for overpowered characters go, marvel players got around phoenix, ae with seth, vanilla sf4 with sagat, it's doable, you just have to look for tech instead of complain about shit all the time.

    speaking of a scene around me, i should have one, we have a lot of damn good players but the only thing around is jaxeldome which doesnt happen regularly and finally jaxel scheduled it for a day i can go to. i was getting shafted with that recently. not like its his fault or anything i just really need to get in there badly

    im convinced that if umvc3 players got around pheonix and morrigan/doom teams that SC5 players can get around viola.

    Hey Mortal Kombat put up with Cyrax, Smoke, Jax, and Kabal... All have had infinites, death combos, and or both. ! LOL No character was banned except for Kratos. Which was ps3 only. Also I agree about marvel, but we have yet to see the full extent of Violas power. I have a feeling it will show this weekend.

    even if we do see the full extent of her power, we as players who dont main her should take note of this and find ways to counter it. this is how games evolve, banning a character because shes too good is limiting so much that is to be learned, ESPECIALLY on a version of a game that's been out for like 5 or 6 months.

    also, to comment on that, i also feel that the game should be patched one more time to smooth out this viola drama, i feel its going to cause a big split in the community if we have to make a decision whether or not to ban or based on what namco does

    If you get launched by anything and get comboed into aB+K, you better just lay there. Yoshi's helicopter will track. I don't want to sound rude, but ask for help in the respective Soul Arenas. Despite how lax they may seem, it's best to ask than to just do a status message.
