  • what would be a good example of a high risk, medium reward situation/move in scv?

fair enough, though I think some character's auto GI's give very good reward (Pyrrha, Patroklos, Xiba)

high risk medium reward? i would say siegfrieds SRSH stance mixup is a pretty good example. insanely punishable on block, as in it gives more damage than you could get out of it if it is blocked, but the damage warrants enough reward to make you go after it. high risk medium reward.
All these people on injustice crying about zoning like it has no weakness. Yes, zoning is strong. No it is not broken.

Lol I'm new to 2d fighter too XD. MK and street fighter are different because I believe you can cancel dashes via blocking or canceling into special moves. In injustice, most dashes cannot be canceled. double forward and double backwards dashes can't be canceled and you have to wait for the full animation to end to do anything.

Some characters have special command dashes and air dashes that can be canceled though. I believe harley has a command dash (I'm not sure though). I also believe that superman has an air dash that he can cancel into heat vision. Don't quote me on that though lol.

mm ok. I'll find someway to accept zoning better
I feel like my experience with Soul Calibur has really improved my understanding of fighting games in general. :D
I'm really enjoying playing natsu. Getting her JF's way more consistently. The only real issue I have is when A:6 doesn't fully connect :/
Even though it looks rather "stiff," I am still super hyped for Injustice! I just wish Martian Manhunter was in it...

Yeah man really hope they make MMH a playable character, he's my avatar on TestYourMight (the injustice forum) lol.

I'd be really sad if he isn't even DLC. He already in the background in one of the stages, might as well make him playable
Hawkeye makes me want to main natsu. Working on A:6 and PO A:6 now. "Ugh, such a pain!"

A:6 visual cue is the sword extending with A that is when you add 6. You add the 6 right when the A reaches impact frames if that helps better.
PO~A:6 visual cue is the light effect on PO~A

For the most part I get A:6 70% of the time and around 25% for PO A:6, but I'm still working on it. Thanks for the tips!
Leixia won a major? It must've been a fluke or else she is now broken. LOL props to MTFighter for winning with an "nonviable" character.

Where can I find VoDs? I want to see this Leixia.

It's interesting because nobody thought tira was good and she won evo and wgc, and now Leixia wins winter brawl. I wanna see raph, zwei or ezio win a major. I just looked up mtfighter on youtube and the videos were first results :P

Only fools thought tira was bad, same with leixia. I still don't see zwei or raph taking a big tournament, though ezio is strong. You can find the winter brawl vids in the media section under big e gaming.
I never realized how different SCV is from SCIV until I played IV. Not being able to step verticals makes me sad. Ivy SE is annoying, tips?

Are GI's useful against Ivy's Serpent's Embrace stance? Whenever I attempt a GI against SE she uses the stupid low where she grabs your ankles with her sword and flips you over or she uses the unblockable which can't be GI'd. The only thing I can really do is try to umbrella during her transitions into SE but I feel like it's too slow and she will get the CH shoulder tackle into combo :/

You can do low GI by doing 3G. Also, how are you having a hard time stepping. Less verticals track in SCIV. You just have to learn how to dash (single tap of the direction).

Whenever I try dashing it feels like my step it too slow or doesn't step fast enough. I keep getting hit by Xianghua's FC3B and 66B+K, Taki's 66B, etc. I also feel like my backstep gets killed every time I try. I guess I'm just getting used to it
Anybody else have a bad habit of only breaking either A or B throws because of muscle memory?

Yes, I only tend to break A because a lot of people only use A grabs.
