Sure, but it's a good way to set it up and worth using. Fastest move, as far as I'm aware, that can get them airborne to do it so it can be performed as an i16(?) punish or a step catch.
As far as I can tell we get now guaranteed damage off of 4K on flat ground. However, we can use it to spike them close to us with SC, which is not entirely unuseful, I think.
I feel like the game's been out long enough that we can do this now. What are your top 10 moves for Xianghua?
My list, fired directly from the top o my head with little consideration:
1. AA
i10, catches step, SXS transition. 41 damage on hit-confirmable CH with AAB. Safe AAA followup to keep...
Thanks for this tip, doing wonders. Started using 11BK after 214A+G to get close for oki and using this as a wakeup tool and it really helps keep the train going.
I meant more getting into the FC state than just something that high crushes, so we can get to FC3B/FC3A+B quick.
Good news on that though, 6BA puts us in FC, is + on hit and safe on block. Can be hopped obviously but that's a good place to be in. Seems to be around +4 but that's an estimate...
Do we have any reliable way of entering into FC like Leixia's 6KK? I'm not coming up with anything great, I feel like the FC mixup is still strong though
Mabye this is old news but I'm gonna share this here anyways since I did the testing. Post-guard-break damage scales different depending on what move you broke guard with, and Soul Charge makes it weird, with some moves actually INCREASING the amount of damage over what it would be raw:
I'm just gonna quote myself from the Xianghua forums here. This might be old news, but I haven't heard about it and I didn't see anything like that here, so I hope I didn't waste time testing for nothing. But post-guard-break damage scales different depending on what move you broke guard with...
Okay, I'm not sure where to put this, but since it's relevant to post-GB combos, I guess I'll put this here.
I was gonna go to bed but while I was messing around in training mode I noticed that scaling of my CE changed depending on what move I used to guard break, so I tested her whole movelist...
I was home sick today so I spent the day making notes on punishing Nightmare. Hopefully they're useful to someone.

This was mostly done by setting the training dummy to do the move and then block...
You have a couple of notation errors, In the SC combo section you list 66B+KB as 66B+KK
And while all of us here probably know you're following up the 3B+Ks with K in the video, it might be worth putting the K on the end for newbies
Otherwise, great video! Learned a lot. Thanks for sharing. In...
Unless my hands just get slow on this particular punish, this doesn't seem to work after FC 3B punishing Nightmare's WR AA. I'm guessing because of the angle he's at when launched? Might be other moves it can't follow up on. I can get it to work fine on his 1A and raw.
