Yeah your right, I shouldn't take that as a challenge. This CLEARLY is a compliment lol.

And you can watch me make the brackets if you want. FYI, if you are good w/a char, you don't worry about brackets. No top player has ever, EVER not used a char cause he's worried about his bracket. Hey, you said you welcome the challenge, so knock yourself out. Now if you don't do it, you look like a shit talker. I'm not the one going around telling people what to do w/their chars, considering those people place higher than me at nearly every tournament lol.
 
Actually, if you go back and look at some of my tournament videos, I have historically punished with iGDR pretty decently. I'm still trying to get the timing back on a few things right now, though, so I'm not doing it as much while I work on my execution more generally. Thing is, if you go in and actually try practicing it, you'll find that almost every iGDR-punishable move requires slightly different timing in order to pull off the punish consistently.

If I had to pick at anything, it'd be the fundamental premise of your argument: namely, that iGDR punishment beyond several crucial moves for each character, is such a weighty issue. That's fairly subjective, though. In any case, the best thing you can do is pick up Cervantes and try to scrape Nori. Then you guys need to post about it here for my amusement.
 
Yes I said random iGDR Nori. You were random with them seeing that I blocked most of them except for the one time that you hit my whiffed 2a. Then I look at your list and I see Dan of all people on there? I mean seriously? Do you not know how unsafe he plays? Maybe it's just because I have extensive amounts of experience vs NM, but damn. He's not a bad player, but he's nothing I would say could beat me.
 
You do realize an entire year has passed right? You haven't played and we all have been doing nothing but improving. Dan got A LOT better. So did I. Even Chickenwing is about to show me and Hates how to play Cervantes lol
 
NM is crazy unsafe, but Dan is making some pretty good decisions lately w/him. He's nothing like he was at Mashfest, I'll be the first to admit that
 
Lobo: Hit me up when you get to Austin. Yes I play Hilde but I'm also playing X so we can have some "legit" games in. And no Nori this does not mean I will enter the tournament if Hilde is banned.

Nori: I'm insulted you didn't put my name on that list. We're 1-1 in tournaments so far in the last year ;)

Whodat: Dan is actually at good, smart player. He's definitely not the scrub he was at Mashfest. Although I still own him for free because he has a complex playing, that doesn't take away from him. I've been telling him forever to play a better character but you have to be true to yourself and play who you like right?
 
Yes Brandon, your broken banned char is tied w/my upper mid tier char 1-1. Congrats:) Do realize in a FT5, I can pick Astaroth and make my time a lot easier on myself

And that list is people who don't use banned chars. Still, if I actually practice against Hilde, which I don't cause I have no reason to, I would do a lot better.
 
That works both ways if I would actually get to play with Hilde ;)

And I think we're still 1-1 with Asta too. I'm just saying it wouldn't be free that's all.

Well, yes i haven't seen the vids, but yes i understand what you mean. You have to get back into the swing of things, that's understandable.

Whodat: I'm agreeing with brandon. Dan is in fact a smart player. ICE has even said so. And that's coming from ICE. Either way, don't brush him off as if he's some scrub.

anyway i really don't know jack shit. That whole discussion started because i can do jf's better than the SA players can, but i never said i'm better than you either. never ONCE did i say i'm better than you, better cervy than you or even quoted that post of yours saying that you own people for free. Because LAST i checked, Last dragon owned your ass for free @ trashday in UNDER 4 minues. So please, for once follow your own advice and think before you post. And stop thinking that i have some vandetta against you, tbh i think it's the other way around.

OMG THE GREAT NORI BEEN OUT PLAYED BY CHICKENWING WITH HIS OWN CHARACTER [/sarcasm]. I could give two shits if i'm better than you or worse than you with your own character, as long as you & i place in tournaments....with cervy, asta, amy, whoever the case may be, that's all that matters to me
 
Dan is a BEAST.... Last year at Mashfest he did pretty damn good for not owning a console or the game. He only practiced rarely with us. Nm is unsafe bit the way he uses him is tricky. But now Dan the Heat owns a copy just imagibe his progress. Myself on the other hand not that great, the game is kinda boring. I only want to beat Nori n CW really. I been letting Nori win cause i dont wanna be the reason he slams doors n shit.
 
Don't get it twisted people. I never once said that Dan is a scrub and seeing that I haven't seen him in a year there is much improvement that he could have made. I just know that the character he uses has some weaknesses that can be exploited. I know that matchup better than most seeing as I played against one if not the best NM in the country on a regular basis. Anyway I really do hope that he has gotten better.
 
Hey Nori that's because Dan is playing the second best Cervy in Texas, namely me. I know like hundred different styles...copy and paste. And not to mention I am good looking.

Chickenwing: I have no idea where the Last Dragon reference came from, but I'm done trying to grasp your logic. I lost to the guy months ago w/his Setsuka. I shook his hand and said good job. I've been to 2 other tournaments since then. You are very, very random sometimes. I mean, are you just randomly mentioning people I've lost to? What does that have to do w/anything about my Cervantes vs the 3 guys I'm talking to? Personally, I have no reason to talk shit to people in SA, cause it's SA. Cause you know.........we are supposed to be on the same side. Still, 8 years and you don't grasp this, it's sad.

And I was talking to sword lord and shogun and whodat. You came in, out of nowhere and said I don't punish properly, and the only reason you aren't one of the best cervys is because you don't play him. You also said something about a rookie "showing us up". Don't claim it wasn't an attack and try to play mr innocent, cause anybody reading it can tell it was. Don't act like you are trying to be some new Cervy player, if that were the case, I would have helped you if you had asked. But you didn't, you just directly called out the best 2 in the country............for no reason, at all. Considering I didn't mention your name in any way shape or form, I'm still blown away why you think it's ok to talk shit to me, but that's my new response to you............ok.

EDIT: Ok, looking back, no way shape or form did anybody mention how you were good at JFs. Matter of fact, nobody mentioned your name at all. Best Buy: At least I place high in tournaments, and next time I'm going to karate chop the door in half like a bad anime movie. Slow motion effects and everything, I'm going to keep my pose for about 2 minutes just to add dramatic effect.

Nori why are you all butt hurt by what CW says? You and I both know that he talks out his ass sometimes. He wouldn't be the best Cervy if he played, but then again it's not like your Cervy is all that great either ;)

It's because he actually believes he's 100% right. I even asked him last night what his problem is and it's his "job to point out bullshit, and talk shit to EVERYBDOY". I don't go online talking shit about my actual friends, but CW has no problem w/this. Not only does he not have a problem, he (as you can clearly see0 STARTS problems.

He claims left and right I have a problem w/him, but look in the last 2 pages and tell me who randomly started it. I haven't said a WORD about him and still I get dragged in. After 8 years dude, and you know him even longer, it just gets old. It's not even about the char, I could care less who he plays. It's that he always has to bring himself into a conversation at MY expense. He does NOT pull this bullshit w/Agustin or any other TX player, just me. If I had mentioned him, I could understand him defending himself. What's REALLY sad is I was DEFENDING him when Sword Lord attacked him in the Quakecon thread and then out of nowhere (when it was just me and you going back and forth), he comes in saying what he said. It's black and white and there to read, I don't see how he's trying to interpret it any other way.

I have no problem talking shit to out of town players to hype up a tourney and get them to come, but Mike will come online just to bust my balls, when I didn't even mention his name. There is no way to escape it, it's just insanity.

Last mistake: follow, NO i don't believe i'm 100% right in which i'm a better Cervy player than you. In which also NONE of my posts indicate that i'm better. And that little phrase that you mentioned from one of my posts is called sarcasm.

And i didn't need your help with sword, like every other time i got the last word because i'm that much more intelligent with him. At least i'm not the guy on the forums that's having 3 different arguments going on at the same time.

Seriously, follow your own advice and think before you post.
