Nightmare's Movelist Changes and Move Speculation Thread

Hmm, not too sure how useful the quake stun is gonna be on 2B+K. People were already anticipating the quake and jumping over it in the stream.

Out of curiosity, how much advantage, if any, do you get from picking someone up off the ground with FCA+G in SC4? Is it still in 5 and give the same frames?

The pickup is still in the game I saw Daishi get it a lot in one of the matches. I was kinda puzzled how he got is as much as he did, maybe speed increase or the pickup is less picky about where it grabs their body. Or maybe he just has a good setup and I didn't notice it. Anyway, It still looks like good advantage but I can't recall how many frames it gave you in SC4 but it was pretty high (+8 ish? is my guess).

About the GS having a later TC, that sucks but I think until we know what transitions can be punished by what high moves we won't know how bad this is. As for WR (B), as long as NSS bA still has TC properties that should beat out high moves.

It still will be very hard to see. It seems to track and can be used very effectively as an anti-step tool. And if its mixed up with taunt cancels and normal 2B+K (if its a med), believe me, its going to be hellava strong.

thanks for posting the links. didn't notice the clean hit on that A+B

in that match vs hilde though....I noticed he landed 3B ground hit at close range twice and it did a LOT of damage by ground hit standards...

Yeah, pity all the Nightmare players in Japan (besides Daishi) are pretty ass at the moment. But Nightmare's CE looks like the biggest F U move in the game.

The CE is in essence a GI with a guaranteed attack once it activates, so it'll probably mostly be used on reaction at high level play.

So apparently I was wrong about something. CE does not necessarily cause a stun on air hit. When I saw it it was cause of the auto-GI. Apparently GIs cause a groundstun if they activate on a jump move, and this applies for NM's CE as well.

Also, we still haven't confirmed that CE can be done from GS, though I could swear I've seen it from a raw GS a few times (and not when the GS has ended). In one of the newer vids it looked like it he was doing WR K and then it canceled to it even, but I may just be misinterpreting the animations. almost as if I'm seeing some kinda ghetto kara cancel

I god an anti-air CE at nec. It gets the anti-air gi damage, then the CE damage, multiplied by the air damage, but I don't know if there's ground slam damage after or a stun because it killed them instantly.

Shit hurts.

haha that CE got baited out so easily.

It was a failed bait by Daishi. Lol. Still good though.

@Schieder- I was hoping to develop CE set-ups or use the CE in combos. Makes it more deadly overall i think. But damn Pyrrha looks hard now.

I usually just lurk on this forum but it seems no one noticed something, so I fell I have to bring it up. About 32:10 in this video.

Looks like a double GS with GI properties.

wow I didn't notice that. I have no idea what it is

wishful thinking - if it beats A moves maybe you could cancel a GS to another one to beat A attacks, and GS A to beat B attacks.

also, I've been updating this post pretty regularly http://8wayrun.com/threads/nightmare-movelist-changes-for-scv.8680/ but it may not have all the known changes or there may be incorrect information. let me know if there is anything that you feel should be corrected or added

Does look like a double GS, but the GI comes from Maxi not Nightmare. You can see Maxi stick his hands out for the GI.

Edit: IDK, looks like he just did 236,236. I think the upgraded speed of 5 just makes it look like something new.

Engared made mention of that earlier. Its just Maxi's auto Gi, you can see it under maxi's health.

The change list is looking good so far Tiamat.

Well that saddens me to hear. I guess I was just too intrigued to notice anything Maxi was doing. Thank you for clearing that up though, ioKain.
