Raphael media =/

looks like they got rid of the guard break property on his 33BK
And the gameplay in this build looks slower than previous versions of the game.

prep BBB is + on hit ? In the raph v pyrrah video, both characters attempt a B after it and it looks like raph's B wins out on CH. Though, it could be that the pyrrha player did not attempt the move as early as possible, but having prepBBB as + on hit makes sense without the last 236B 4th hit as a threat.

Didn't see anyone using much of his shadow evade in these vids, I wonder if they just didn't know how strong it is? Also not much 3a usage, which is the other thing I was hoping to see.

Watching the aris v ceirnian vid:

SE K is easily reactable to
2A, 2K racks up damage like crazy
prepBB(BE) rapes block meter (rightfully so)
BBB is not easy to punish, not sure if anyone has attempted to actually step the 3rd hit

Aris played a really simple Raph and very good it appeared

He played a nice and simple raph that was immune to hilde's keep away tactics. I thought he did alright, but obviously I would have liked to see more moves but each person has their move playstyle (and granted the games not even out yet)

lol youre' mistaken
20 damage for AA (2nd hit 10)
18 for AB (2nd hit 8)
8<10.

One thing everyone saw was that 3B~prepK was quickstepped by natsu, though it didnt' seem like a range issue.

SCV is the first game that I'm trying to really become competitive-caliber in, so I'm not used to measuring exact damage numbers and frames and whatnot. I appreciate all your guys' talkative know-how, lol.

The best resource after the game is released is the wiki (which shall be updated with the proper quantitative values)

Im not trying to offend the Raph player in the video, but that person spammed the whole time!!! Raph can be played much better than that!! No use of horizontals and kicks but overuse of 236B, BBB, and 6BBB. Not much Prep and diversity either. But at least Im aware of Hilde's deadly combo. And Raph does not suck!!! I also found out that Prep K causes spin stun on hit so the BE can follow or any other combo. Prep K is too easy to react to but it seems safe on block.
1 spam takes more skill at a high level because of the limited tool set you are using

2 kicks and horizontals have always been suplementry to raphs gameplan

3 prep was never meant to be abused you are supposed to use the threat of it

you are talking about the former sc2 world champ also keep in mind no one has been to training mode and what not yet so he was using what he knows

Usually when people complain about spam in videos they aren't watching and looking for things correctly. Look deeper at things like spacing, punishing, adaption ect

Here's another french video

Keep in mind that the 3 hits of BBB are not guaranteed on natural hit so it was odd the mitsu did not block.
I'll note that nothing seemed guaranteed on 22A CH far range for raph. Just push em out with 3B is probably the best choice
Lastly, 33KB doesn't have as nice tracking, as raph side stepped an attack from mitsu (where mitsu proceeded to walk forward) and raph whiffed his punishment.
