Hi everyone,

SCV has lots of good aspects and not-so-perfect aspects. But this thread is a simple celebration of a new Soul game and the creativity of 8WR members using CAS. So, go ahead and post your FIRST EVER (or, at least, first that you intend to keep, haha) ORIGINAL character you designed using SCV’s CAS system!

Name: EL-SHAIA 01
Style: Soul of Devil Jin
Concept: I needed to make a Devil Jin CAS, so I went ahead and invented my first SCV original EVER (woot!). I was going for something futuristic, militant, and which would match the EGWF spam this style favors, so I incorporated a lot of electric blue-green (looks slightly too blue in the photo). I was thinking of Metal Gear Solid style characters, and I think I matched that aesthetic pretty well. Since she’s a fist-using fighter, I wanted her hands to be relatively beefed up / protected... surprisingly I found a use for the Dark Knight bonus gloves, guess the CE was worth it. ;-)

Well, here's mine, a Mimic (uses Soul of Kilik)
His name is "Unknown"

I was going for a sort of "creepy-ish" mimic. I think I pulled it off thanks to an arrow through the heart and the fact that has no face :P Lem

Thanks! I never played it, but googling images just now it certainly looks similar to the theme for which I was aiming.

This is OK as per the thread rules I established in my first post. ;-) Actually, my post was technically my second CAS... but the “first” was just a crappy throwaway monstrosity (since deleted) created solely to unlock the achievement and experiment with the new features. Nice work everyone!

My shot isn’t actually a screenshot, it’s a photograph (using a DSLR). Set shutter priority to 1/60th to match framerate, use a high enough ISO so your aperture can let in enough light. I used a monopod and a 60mm macro lens.

If I owned a PS3, this would be much, much simpler. X-| They have an in-game screenshot feature, the details of which I don’t know.

Yeah, I just found out about the screenshot feature. Very useful. And nice photos! They actually looks better than the screenshots IMO
 
Roviarph Casuelo, the main character in the short stories and novels I plan to write based on an RPG concept I once had before a very early "mid-life crisis" that led to me becoming an English major. He is a wandering magus and storyteller. Unlike other magick users in the world my stories take place in, he chooses to use forbidden magicks drawing upon his own spirit as opposed to other elements. As such, he is shunned by society and even feared as being a necromancer. He thus uses his abilites not to harm, but to help others. As he does not wish to use magick to harm unless he is forced to, he fights in combat using a bladed staff(Xiba and not . He despises demons and is therefore caught up in the dying kingdom that the stories are set up in from its doom by its usurper who himself has armies of demons. My first novel idea based on the RPG which I will write after I become known will actually involve Roviarph teaming up with the lost princess of the kingdom(whom I also have a CAS for) to help her reclaim her rightful throne. Don't mind the quality.

I don’t think you can put it on the left arm.

There is a left shoulder cloth drape, sort of like Hilde’s SCIV 1p, but it is HUUUGE. They really messed up the size on it, it’s like clown equipment. Hoping something else comes along, but I’m not optimistic.

Yeah, I’m not going crazy with CAS yet, it’s much better once 95%+ equipment is unlocked. I’ll probably establish my own thread once I really get going with characters. For now I have a modest collection: the Devil Jin CAS I posted, a joke Dampierre CAS, Natsu 3p, and Yoshi 1p recolor. And I just finished a draft SCIV Setsuka (actually really happy with it, this new CAS mode is amazing) but I intend to revisit it once I’ve got all the clothes.

LOL, I remembered seeing that one in your gallery a while ago.

They are...really alike, save for the weapon and color scheme, lmao.

Soul of Devil Jin style, just to try it out. The fist style works well with the laser claws. Also, the default stance is kind of hunched over, so that and the white lab coat add to the creepy Mad Scientist look.

Oh, and I'm SO jealous of PS3 owners right now, that screen capture feature looks amazing!
