I've been meaning to get these videos out sooner! Sora was kind enough to come help me along with the content. We'll be doing more Soul Calibur tutorials soon. Hope you guys find them useful!

An Introduction to Hit Box:
Having 4 buttons for directions makes all of your moves easier. There's no travel time, so your dodging gets a serious speed boost as well.

CE Shortcut ft. Sora:

What other content would you like to see on a Hit Box?
 
I would have gotten a Hit Box if they had a 360 version a while ago; that and if I didn't have to destroy my sticks for agA.
 
I am using the hitbox again after a few months of using stick. Luckily, my muscle memory stayed and it only took a couple of matches to get back to feeling normal. I still can't CE as fast as I can on stick, but my movement is so much better with the hitbox.

And for anyone who's getting a new hitbox, I'll give a training tip that will help you get used to the directional inputs. In global colosseum, try to draw squares and circles around the middle box using your cursor while waiting on a match. It's my own mini game to see how close to the borders I can get.
 
This is awesome! I've been doing 236236 all this time, but this is much easier. Definitely gonna be punishing ducked throws more now. :D

I notice this doesn't work on DNS though. :( Is there any trick to doing that one? Especially from the 2p side since working my ring finger isn't easy.

It takes practice. On 2p side, I utilize my wrist more to do a rocking action. Concerning CEs, you can also hold the direction first then double tap down for a variation of the shortcut.
 
Using wrist motion does make it more consistent for me. Thanks.

This CE method almost makes it seem unfair. >:D I guess stick or pad users could do it too though, if they could consistently hit 2 and 3 in succession twice. I guess it's their problem for using an inferior input device. :D
 
I use the same shortcut on stick. I will jiggle that stick so good a pornstar would lose their job to me. Instant round beginning CE.
