Anyone else psyched for this? I love the hell out of the origional and can't wait to get back to Pandora again! Also seems like there is gonna be a bit more variety in the playstyles between the different characters this time around. (I mean Zero is an effing ninja for christ's sake!)
 
My mistake for asking about a FPS/looting game in a fighting game forum I guess. Still I for one can't wait for this, I wasted a ton of time on the first game.
 
I'm also really hype. Thing I hated the most from the first game is that each class had one type of weapon that they heavily specialized in (Lilith SMGs, Mordecai Snipers, Roland Assault Rifles, Brick Rocket Launchers) more or less. So if I found a sweet shotty but was playing as Lilith it felt like a total waste.

They addressed this in the second I hear, classes don't revolve around a single weapon mostly.
 
I don't mind specialization really, I'm just hoping one isn't obviously more powerful than the others this time around come endgame (cough Lilith cough)
 
I've never played one (my brother has it and he and one of my other brothers killed it), but I'm definitely trying 2.

It wasn't always one weapon. If you had a Mord running a gunslinger mod then he could tear people up with pistols or revolvers, and if you went with a Truxican you could actually make him melee focused if you were feeling brave enough. A plaguebearer Lilith could do well with any weapon with corrosive element. I had secretly hoped to find a Serpens for my Lilith to try this out but never found one. :(

Even in the second there is gonna be some specialization, Zero is the sniper and pistol guy again but obviously with more of a focus on his melee abilities. From what I've seen it looks like Salvador is gonna be an MG guy but I'm only saying that cuz in all the trailers all they ever show him with is MGs
 
I was just about to post in here lol. Yeah I have it preordered and I'm pretty hype. The first game had a lot of flaws but was full of good ideas and the DLC for it had a lot of charm. I feel like with the success they had they will be able to refine this game to be a lot better.

Yeah. Also, which character do you plan on taking?
 
Mechromancer lol. Until then probably Siren. I really loved Siren in the first game but it's pretty different this time.
 
For me I want the mechromancer because she reminds me of Morakai with the same concept. Throwing my robot instead of my bird but the filler will be Maya the siren. I did have a siren in part one but i think she had the worst skills out of everyone because she didnt really buff the party like everyone else did. This siren however... sending ppl in the next dimension... EPIC.
 
I just started playing the first one since its free on Plus, and the shit is mad fun. I might have to scoop up this one...
 
Axton, though thats just because I never used Roland and wanna try the soldier/commando style for a while.
 
I'm actually excited for this game.
Seeing all the positive reviews for the first one, I can't wait to test out this game on the new PC i just built.
being that i never played the first one, should i try it before i buy the 2nd one? or is it pretty straight foward?

It's pretty straight foward but I suggest you play the first one since it was such fun especially playing with a friend.
