Sieg vs the infamous backstep strategy...

No I am not trying to enrage panto or fool anyone.. I played shen chan a lot and have beaten every cervy ive been up against in japan and usa and i am very convinced its 5-5. And shen chan sure as hell knows the matchup well. I can see why you all think its bad but i really think its okay. the risk-reward is surprisingly okay.

I repeat, im not trolling on purpose. neither am i saying i think what i say is 100%. I may be very convinced but we all live in our worlds and panto might see things that i don't. who knows. maybe i would have a good time and get raped in paris ><

Panto: I know its clear we disagree with each other on many things about siegfried but I'm not trying to be annoying or having any fun with it. I'm just holding my viewpoint.

In Sieg vs Cerv, how would Sieg deal with Cerv's ability to shut down 3(B)/WR (B) with aB? 22K would also be pretty effective against 22A/agA/6A/3A.

......

Interesting. I personally think it's definitely in Cervys favour, main reasons being aB and his aGIs.

but you did well a fine job dude...

1.- I envy of you to play a lot against top players, I can't do it anymore since I got no internet in the new home...
2.- When you are used to play against the best cervantes in the world its nothing to get surprised if you beat any other cervys around.
3.- Mathematics give Cervantes the advantages, but for sure an extraordinary accurate strategy can make the difference.

I hope to see Shen Yuan in Paris; Paris is like the "real" country where the players take more seriously this game... I mean, they are still doing SC, SCII, SCIII, SCIV and SCV tournaments! Panto do you have some room to invite Shen Yuan to see the Eiffel Tower? :sc1sig1:

Docvizzo payed a visit to Singapore and he seemed surprised at how I handled the matchup.

From that experience, I concluded that most players play too aggressively against cervy, and/or do not set themselves up in positions for punishment.

If I do the math, aB is -18 on block, and our 3B is i18. Also, Throw, which is very important for cervy, is WSBable. WSB is very painful. I do not see the problem with the math.

I suggest pushing forward, because up close is where cervy is not good.

I hope im not sounding... like cervy is ass. he is still f****** irritating

My main question for this matchup would be how you deal with aB after 3(B) or WR (B) get blocked. If I'm not mistaken it beats all of Sieg's options except for SCH K, which it trades with, right?
Yeah, doing 3B at all against Cervantes gives him a free aB if it's blocked and you can't do anything about it. You will get hit by aB for a trade in Cervantes' favor.

In the matchup, only 3B for punish. Why do 3B in a neutral game? You should only do WSB if you are doing some kind of mixup... and its still worth doing in a 50/50 with flap jack because all the other mids, like 1B, or 3A all give an aB anyway... and its not just sieg... even if cerv wants to 50/50 cerv, his 3B gets aB, LX 3B or 22B gets aBed, viola 3B gets aB... so many good mids from so many characters get aBed.

you should pressure with B6, 1K, 22A, 3K, flapjack, and throw, because cervy has problems punishing those well. If you keep mixing flapjack and throw, you wont get punished properly. Its hard to WSK or WSB on reaction 100%.... Pressure with those, and stick close, and force an aB.. and if he can throw you so what. If you duck one of those cervy will scream. WSB as a throw punish is no joke

I wanna see those videos, too. I knew he went to Singapore, but I don't what happened there.

unfortunately we forgot to record >< but he could tell you about the cheesy fruit and the legs of frogs.
