Okami is incredibly well colored, and that Dwarf is well, i dunno who he is supposed to recreate, but the helmet and 'stache design is top notch
 
The helmet wings texture now is changed but i forgot to take a pic
Anyway anybody have not seen Dragon's Crown trailers (they just released a new one) go on youtube now, dat thing is going to be epic WIN

Oh, since we talk about it, bewbs time

The fun thing is that is a trick i "discovered" long time ago, but i never actually used it
Then Chobek's thread given me the idea of do a tribal char with a colorful big ass mask, something like him

At begin also mine was very slim, then i thinked that with a round head like that it was fun the idea of make him some kind of voiceless 180kg giant that go around with his little tropical kitten, smashing heads with an huge totem-like thing :D
 
Nah, i don't see myself restart with CaS untill SC5.5 or SC6... but positive side is that even without me, Matty,Chobek or Flip, i seen that with guys like you and EnduringSoul the section have worthy successors (most of times i don't even write because i'm not logged,but i do my lurking and i appreciate)

Ok, let us be a bit philosophic here in between CAS posting and reflect on the life of a CAS creator :

10:00 AM : hey, i need to quit CAS creation, the board is dead and i barely get more than one or two lines comment for my hard work shooting & posting, or even worse, i only got likes (honestly, who gives a shit)
11:00 AM : hum, there was that challenge and that request and that little idea in the back of my head, oh look at that squirrel in my backyard for Vil's nimal thread
11:15 AM : ooooh, and i could steal those tentacles from Vil and make his Mind Flayer look like shit, yeah, way to go !
13:00 : i really need to quit and go pratice MMA...now there was this other challenge though...

Lol, life of a CAS artist is a chore, really...but at the same time, we keep doing it, not only because it is rewarding to see others like our stuff and sometimes ask, but ultimately because it is fun to try and push the limits of the editors.

Sometimes we fail, with a clear concept in mind yet the mental sketch just doesn't translate well into the final CAS.
This happens to the best of us, and while the seemingly impossible can be done in most of the cases (see that gif vs that Waku or my Marsupilami for instance), sometimes there are things you cannot do 1:1, here a keen sense of interpretation is needed to capture and transcend the true soul of a character into a credible or downright ludicrous CAS.

I sometimes thought of creating a blooper reel kind of thread, and i released a few concept CAS in the nimal thread where i was stopped in my tracks by the editor's limits, but who would proudly expose his failures like that ;o)

Anyways, as busy as all our lifes can be, it is good to see this forum getting new momentum, with most senior CAS artists, and many promising new ones, still around so long after release (all but one, sadly)
 
Lol, i've just re-read that post few days ago searching an old cas... well tricky editors are caching, no doubt :D
Specially if your work is recognized and you're "somebody" at it

I believe to have dropped forever LBP a thing like 3 or 4 times, and a month ago i was going to restart with it for the 5th time, if was'nt that my old PS3 is dead and with her all my 100% unlocked (+ all DLC quest 100% too) savedata

Not so keen on the first couple (i don't see the theme, but the second CAS is charismatic hell yeah)...
but damn the second one is great, and the new tech demo on cascading beard and tache is fresh and astonishing, and that colour, perfect...

now may i suggest you take a look at lost culture and be swept of your feet (wink...Vil)
 
I realized my SCV main, Ezio don't have any rival in the game
Sure, there is an artwork with him vs Mitsu, and there was that cancelled story cutscene of him going to brawl with Nightmare... but seriously, need a nemesis
