Was thinking about the season pass. But I'm waiting for a while. Lobo is yes. BUT I need another yes and then the other two could be duds. One is a freebie.
 
Okay gang. So I am thinking about getting this game. It looks very fun. But I have to ask, how fun is it? Like actually? I know its still got that new game smell and the truly dirty shit has yet to be discovered, but based off what ya'll have played so far.

-Whos the best and/or most used/abused character atm and why?
-How many buttons this game use?
-Any game specific tips for anyone just now jumping in?

Yea play with someone whos good at the game in practice mode so they can help you get better. not random scrubs.

I dont know whos the most used because I dont play randoms LOL but everyone is bitching about deathstroke cuz they suck and cant get around zoning. Game really uses 4 buttons... but in most set ups 6.

Best characters imo are...

Frost, Aquaman, Batman, Superman, Grundy

The character complained about most is Deathstroke, i know because i use him. I don't think he's overpowered, but he's a zoner that's easy to use with fast options, so everyone picking him up is doing what he does best right at the start and anyone else trying to get around it is having trouble. Other than top players that is.

This game has 6 buttons. Light, Medium, Heavy, Trait, Meter Burn and Interact.

Tips? i dunno lol, gotta get used tot he system
 
Deathstroke is fine , sadly a big % of ppl who will never be good use him and just abuse online giving him bad reputation as ''imba''.Overall the game is balanced but i expect some characters to get damage tweaks next patch(Black Adam , KFrost , Grundy)!

Sadly i think he is getting nerfed...but only because people online well most just keep constantly complaining about him...Im afraid NRS is going to give in, It's the same thing with kano in MK9. Months and month's People complained about kano online because all people did was abuse his knifes and rolling attacks. But he was actually mid tier but now since he got hit hard by nerfs he ended up being not good....Right now in the test your might forums people are trying to tell NRS not to nerf deathstroke based on the knee jerk reactions.
 
You are right about that and i think he will be garbage if they touch him but i hope NRS will listen the pro people now not the bad people who cba learning.
 
Pro players make up a small niche of the market.
You nerf 1 character in IGAU, there's still 23 more to entertain the Pro crowd and it's spectators.

For fuck's sake, in the first patch can they please open up the cancel window a little bit? Cause it's kinda tight.
 
So how absolutely dreadful is the game? =)

Cause to me, it still looks like its suffer from a little too much show (those long stage transitions), and lack of impact on some moves.
 
so I got it. Messed around in practice mode to see if any characters clicked.

The first 3 characters I tried (Joker, Grundy, and Catwoman) were the ones I clicked with and liked instantly...now to actually...you know...learn them and the game. lol!
