Bojack learns a lesson!

character specific ? working on ivy during training mode and not raph.\

In terms of just tapping G for the JG (and dont hold it after), sometimes Ivy JG's all 4 hits, and sometimes she just JG's the first hit but the following hits penetrates her and leads to a NH :)

Strange indeed, I suspect the multi-stabs functions as "1 hit" in terms of JG, so the opponent will JG all of the stabs, but sometimes it functions like 4 separate hits.

If some one jG'es Raph's BB BE they will take 4 pts of chip damage. Weird!

Nice find!

I think it's just the same situation as when you get multiple JGs for just one JG input, but during hitstun rather than blockstun. I'll try to elaborate a bit:

First, you CAN get hit and take damage even while JGing. Try for example JGing Natsu's 4A+B ~ A. I didn't test for all characters, but for my chars I noticed that I got hit by the followup high A attack, even while still in the JG stun animation surrounded by the blue bubble. This means not only that these chars do not TC during a low JG animation, but that you can get hit during a JG.

Secondly, a few months ago I was practising JGing Viola's CE and tried to JG low attacks (her 1K) during the CE. During one atttempt, I JGed the orb hits but failed to JG 1K, but still JGed a subsequent orb hit. Meaning that you can still get a JG during hitstun. (I have a video on my phone by haven't uploaded videos before, I will try to do so if someone wants to see it.)

Now, seeing as I have never seen anyone JG an attack while being comboed, I am going to assume that I only got a JG here because I had already input a successful JG prior to getting hit by 1K, and this allowed further JGs within the normal window (that is, the window in which subsequent JGs occur automatically after the first, assuming no other input, like against e.g. Pyrrha 3A+B or indeed Raph 6BB BE.)

So what you guys found here adds to this by also suggesting that:

> You can take hits and damage during a JG

> The auto-JG window after a successful JG applies during hitstun as well as blockstun.

I guess the reason that you don't JG every single hit by Raph is maybe that the pokes of 6B BE are too fast to be individually JGed, so some get through, but later ones are still JGed once the initial JG animation has recovered.

EDIT: btw forgot to mention that you can still punish Natsu 4A+B ~ A on JG, but you need to quickly duck the A and punish before she recovers.

You can't JG both hits in Algol's 4A+B either. Unlike regular guarding, if two things hit simultaneously (give or take a frame) you can only JG one of them.

I have yet to see someone get KOed by JGing Raph 6B BE though. What a shame.

Me, Enk, Dime and some others were taught this by a guy who stumbled on it pla ying his brother.

We generally concluded that the attacks happen too fast for the game to properly process it so in the jumbled up mess it does the jG, then applies the second hit before the next jG can happen, then because the 2nd jG isn't "available" yet it applies the hit but since the opp is still in too early in the jG animation the game doesn't drop the jG and count the hits normally and allows the jG'es to continue despite damage. Who knows maybe we're wayyyy off.

This is odd considering Yoshi CE and Elysium CE seem to be incredibly fast jG'es that don't break the bank but perhaps they impact in like 1 or 2 frames longer than Raph's BE.

Well at any rate were all taught this by a guy named DaBros his his brother DuBros or something I have no idea what they call themselves to be honest so there's credit.

We were using a training mode dummy set to "jG everything".

Btw a minor thing I guess you prob already got this but I think the BE has 5 fast hits for 4 dmg each, and when you JG it you get 4 Just Guard tags come up at the side, so it's safe to say that just one gets through. So in a match, GUTS would probably cause it to do 2 dmg, so you'll likely only die if you are on 1 or 0 health during the JG.

Maybe two of the strikes are closer together than the others, causing the second one to get through without being JG'ed. Anyone with a frame capture device could probably take a look if they really wanted to.

Ok, so if you're using Opera (don't hate cuz I'm not a Chrome/FFox slave like you) and you do a Ctrl F on a large document the browser will highlight which section of the page/.doc you can find the result in on the scroll bar to the right................. neat!

In Super Mario 1 when you finish 8-4 and it says Press B to select a world...... Pressing and holding B will allow you to pick any X-1 world in the game from the title screen. 30 years of Mario and didn't know this. I thought to "select a world" was a typo for press B to select the next world being the 2nd quest of Mario.

This is also how you continue when you die. If you hold B you can choose to start any world up to the one at which you died. You can do this before beating the game.

I knew you could hold A button or something to continue but didn't know this either........... the secrets held in 20 year old games.
