Namco E3 2016 Line-up

  • Admin
E3 takes place June 14-16 in Los Angeles, California. BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has released what types of games that they plan to announce. You can follow this link to the list. There is a "Fighting / Wrestling" title that is TBA for PS4, XBONE, and PC. Maybe it will be a Tekken 7 console version, some anime game, or a new Soulcalibur. Time will tell!

WHENS SOULCALIBUR VI
*whomever - ..."hey stop talking about SCVI" on a thread that basically says "hey come in here to talk about SCVI"...

Well, that happened quickly, don't you think, everyone?

EDIT: OR... did it? Thanks a lot, thinkingofanime. :kappa:

I guess if we want a new Soulcalibur game, it's be faster to create it by ourselves... Anybody good with Unity? xD

So this confirms my suspicion that they just don't want to have more than one franchise competing in the fighting game genre. It's downright insulting how this ended IMHO, but there's nothing we can do with a community this small.
Anyway, soul calibur as a game had great things going on, and those things would be great basis for a new franchise. I loved the character creation it's one of the main attractions of scv to me, hated that I could n't create more. I did n't want to hack the game to modify aeon and i've seen cool customs with the dude using siegfried's weapons and other styles. A figthing game where you could create more monsters with actual working jaws and such , not the dead taxidermy skins we got, whip tails/ tentacles wings and such. that would be insane.

The soul & our hope will never die but I may.

Who knows what I'll be doing when/if the next game hits (& if it even will have Talim in it).

We'll see.

You guys keep hoping for SC 6 in the next 3 years. I'm just going to say it right now, its going to end up being Soul Calibur 5 for the PS Vita, with the new guest character being Leliana from Dragon Age or something like that. At this point theres a higher chance of there being a Megaman X 9....

There's a higher chance of having Half-life 3 with a scenario worth 300h of play and free DLC for 50 years, and all this for $20.

Soulcalibur is dead, and I guess it's too late for Bamco to get the hype back, because if they were to announce it, we'll wait until release before supporting them...

It's nice to still have hope, but no matter when it happens, it's too late and it's gonna be a severe flop. When it's not around Harada and Tekken, Bamco doesn't do much. No comments about the possible game, the director only posting about his "wonderful" ecchi trash P2W... I'm afraid this forum will just serve as a memory of a wonderful series.

I'm sure they do, because everyone else does. Do you really think they are completely unaware of what fans have been complaining about these past 4 years on their social medias, and on forums such as this. In this information age I highly doubt it.
Actually I do... Harada is a JAPANESE game developer. Japanese game developers are very different from western developers.

They don't appreciate social media, and have the general opinion of not listening to their fans. Its rooted in their ancient traditions of honor. If a non-developer fan tells them "this is what I want", they have the thoughts of "I'm the game developer, you haven't done shit, why are you telling me how to do my job?".

Besides, Japanese game development is dying right now. At this point I think they care less about making a game fans want, and instead focus on making a game that makes money. If those Soulcalibur microtransaction games were succesful and made money... then that could be the direction the series stays.

That's a sad reason for a franchise to suffer.

But hey, everyone has their faults right?
