Hate to say it but Mina and Rock really are just inferior Kilik and Asta's. Talim isn't an inferior version of anything else but she's never been that good competitively and she doesn't really do much in the story either. I think people only like her because she's cute and they see her as like a waifu.

I still want Rock and Mina back though.

i guess i just hate to see a vet get sent away because someone else did their moveset better. and then they hand that moveset off to someone like xiba... i mean if you think about it, Kilik got screwed over too. i'm not even going to use the term weapon master here. no, Kilik was turned into a Mokujin. A wooden doll that seems to move without a soul. any sense of self he had before has been flattened out even more in SCV, and i don't think it does him justice. He needed a win in SC4, but instead, he just lost more of himself.

and xiba was just salt in the wound. they may as well have said "F*** mi-na, F*** Kilik, F*** the history these characters have and F*** the fans! Let's give the moveset to someone new! Hey! Didn't Sun Wukong use a staff? He's popular to imitate, right? people eat his characters up! Let's do that!"

and about people seeing talim that way... you may be right. she's a little young for it in SC4, but yeah. of course, you'd think Amy would have a similar following though... but we did get viola, so there's that.

i'm a bit lost here. what do you mean? talim's hair is green and amy's is red... but if that's what you're referring to, then i'm even more confused.

unless you mean viola fans are separate from amy and talim fans?

i think it started when i mentioned talim and amy in the same comment.

well, that triggered it anyway... whatever.

i think it's a little early to call SC deader than mega man, but i do think it's time we at least considered the possibility. as unpleasant as it is.

looking at the game from a business perspective, as in, financial value... what are we looking at here? is the fan base itself large enough to support another game should it come out?

is there any way to make a guess at what it would cost based on what SC5 cost? i mean, production values have gone up since then, so it may not be accurate. But if we can come up with a general idea, we could compare that to SCV's earnings and have an idea of financial viability, right?

i mean, in this day and age, arcades are still a big thing in japan, but this game was always a bomb there, right? so they may just forego the arcade scene entirely with SC6. if that's the case, then that leaves only profits from console releases, which would need to be separated from SCV's arcade earnings... wait, was SCV even released in arcades?

oh dear god i get it now. he's on my ignore list now, so i didn't see his comment, only yours, and i... yeah. it snowballed from there.

for all the use one would think the ignore button has, it seems like it would cause more problems than it would fix.

i thought there was an arcade version, then console version, then an enhanced arcade version. maybe i was wrong? either way, that means that all of SC5's earnings are from console releases, making figuring out financial viability easier.
