Just curious, if someone were to go for a missing SC3 style (like the Grieve Edge or Giant Shuriken or w/e) does that count as new or are those off-limits also?Though I think I've got a few ideas regardless ;)

But I was going to do an African warrior lady... Anyways, challenge accepted!

Amara, Promised Blood

Origin: Central American
Weapon: Bladed Bow and Curved Sword

A warrior from the New World whose homeland was ruined by a man with a sword of evil, Amara set out for the blood of the pirate who destroyed her family. Sensing that Soul Edge still remains, she remains to fulfill her promise of seeing that the false Sword of Salvation is destroyed. She has learned much of how this man fought, even having a blade added unto her bow as if to mimic that which is called Nirvana. She will not stop until her duty is done. Her word is her bond as her arrows strike true. All of those corrupted by the evil sword are to be put down. Perhaps her diligence will earn her the attention of the Aval Organization...

Honestly I spent so much time trying to remake my parrying-fan wielding warrior from V, I gave up and went with something else entirely. Thanks though good to know ;)

Hi everyone! It's great to see these forums so active now that SC6 is here! Here is my submission for the contest.

Name: Aina
Style: Bone Ankle Blades
Country of Origin: Island of Madagascar


Moveset Ideas:


Aina grew up in a peaceful village in the beautiful, flowering jungles of Madagascar. Her people lived in harmony with the island's abundance of resources, always treating the natural world around them with the utmost respect. Aina's life was carefree until one day, a greedy pirate with a sword of dark magic arrived on the island and plundered the jungle of its riches, killing those in Aina's tribe who tried to stop him. One of those killed was Aina's father, the man that taught her everything there was to know about the art of fighting and self defense. When she learned of her father's death, Aina became determined to find the man with the evil sword that killed him.
Aina uses her father's own invention, the ankle blades of bone, coupled with a unique fighting style that combines Capoeira with Eastern martial arts. She hopes to bring peace to the world, and believes that every single person has good in them, and that every soul is worthy of being saved from the cursed sword.

This was a really fun character to create! The red pattern on her larger bone blade is meant to be a thin rope tied around it to keep it attached to her ankle protector, if you couldn't tell. Thanks for the awesome challange Gatsu!

Not really. At least, she's not supposed to be. More of a vaguely-Australian vigilante bandit type wannabe superhero? You know, that tired old trope...

She doesn't have a name or anything like that and the colour scheme is a bit bland but, being fully honest, I was rushed and don't have much free time for CaS and such things. Enjoy her anyways.

She fights with a (currently sheathed for some reason) boomerang because stereotypes are fun if they're not offensive.

Fuck it, have ANOTHER tribal girl.

To be honest as soon as Gatsu said "everyone uses the turtle shell as a shield, be original!" I decided to see if I could do both, and thus made a Maduvu.

As you might be able to tell, this man isn't a Fakir, instead I fancy him as a traveller of some sort who took a liking to this parrying/defensive tool as an offset to his one-handed sword style. Or something.

In everybody's defense with one hand i was writing that anti-turtleshell suggestion, with the other i was posting in my thread that medieval iron Flail + (turtle) shield girl :D

Btw you nailed the sense with that entry, imho much better than your first boomerang girl!

Haha, she looks amazing though! I was trying to use the antenna and cogwheels to make a flail for this but I gave up ;)
And thank you! He was made first so I had more time on it and it's easier to characterise that kind of concept. :D

Good excuse to do one of my (non-tribal) OCs from SC5, who used Tira's moveset since there is no dual-chakram-wielding character from India in the game yet; could be used hand-to-hand (Taki, Talim) or thrown, I think her throw should look something like the katana-and-shuriken throw from SC3, with the giant leap in the air and a rain of multiple projectiles down onto the opponent.

The pure rings look a little dull (a curse on the dev that made half the items without the option to add patterns/textures), but I've done the cogwheel as shuriken thing with Miser, so we'll go with a more sleek look for this.

Manasa is gorgeous. It's a shame that the only dark-skinned SC girl is underage...

Manasa is lovely and dual chakrams are a weapon style I've wanted in the series for a while now.

Harrawesome's Aina gets my vote. Although Manasa was a really good too, made it a difficult decissión.
