SOULCALIBUR VI Patch v1.11 Coming January 17

When v1.10 came out, we already knew that the next patch was scheduled for January. Because of the release of 2B, they had already announced their intentions for changes. While we had basic planned changes, we didn't know character specific nerfs and/or buffs. Well as of this moment, we have those details... in Japanese.



We will update this post with the English translations when we get them. Namco-Bandai does not communicate with us at all, so if you guys find a link somewhere to the English patch notes, let us know.

Mitsu's 1K.B got nerfed. Incredible. I wanna know what it is.

Probably Mitsu now can break his leg doing this move.

Azwel got badly nerfed. Now A+B does a bad AGI and reset the weapon.

44B probably is the worst lethal hit on the game now too. Can't combo with anything relevant.

8A+B takes A LOT of Soul Charge meter.

Some nerfs make some sense. Others don't.
 
Hm i think azwels, A+B clearly deserved a nerf. At least the GI. GIs which work on every height are really good. So as soon as u had almighty mode, since A+B auto Gi everything, in many situations u could just throw it out relativly recklessly.

If u complain about that, look at tiras GI, its every height but even if it works, the attack triggered by it, rly fucking sucks in most cases, it even misses really often, if u arent right at the enemies face. Azwel GI required just spear/allmighty mode to work and GI every height and still do more dmg than Tiras, and also be more reliable at same time.

Also about his 8 A+B consider what it does. it makes him jump in the air, in a way that majority of attacks cant even really hit him, nd the following attack does a huuuge 360° degree explosion in every direction. I mean zasalamels huge pull (A+B) is similar, but has a pretty big startup, plus u just stay in place, so its far more risky to throw out.

That aside, the nerf im most happy about is actually his 6B+K axe low grab thing. The change that it is a mid now, is huge, i guess its still a strong move but, u cant just cheese w it all the time. I guess the developers were serious that they dont want azwel to be axewell
 
Oh btw i misundertsood that with azwel axe lowgrab. I though they changed it to a mid, but its still a low. tho i saw it doesnt connect to a grab if its too far away

It has extremely reduced range it feels like it's not even 1/4 of what it used to be and the grab fires up from even less than that. From one of if not the best low in the game right into a situational one at most

Ye right sry XD, it was just the only one that came to my mind cuz i often play tira , which is comparable/close to azwels GI i think. Haha see its even worse than what i said. So lets just agree on the part that azwels GI, was a bad joke before nerf. Well at least in my opinion, cuz almighty/spear mode(dunno if spear mode is enough for GI on high, mid nd low) isnt really hard to acquire. Im generally not a fan of the idea of having a GI that counters every height and regular attacks if its built into an attack. I got no problem with the regular GI every char can pull of tho

But lets not forget here, that its still a pretty damn fast low, with pretty good dmg if it connects to a grab. I mean majority of time u can only guess if azwel goes for it, reacting to the animation itself seems xtremly hard. not saying it isnt possible but rly damn hard. So i still think its a really good attack, id say they just increased the predictability of it bcuz you are forced to b really close now to go into that grab now. Also i think they nerfed it cuz there were so many azwels extremly reliant on it. If u consider that its a pretty fast low, the reward for hitting it was, nd still is, really worth it. Just harder to land now.

Im also glad tira got buffs, tho i think theres still issues with certain moves like her B+K being so unreliable. I mean, i think its dumb if u manage to pull of the GI, she does the headbutt with super low range XD. But lets say it connects, then u gotta b lucky cuz of her damn moods. If her head hurts she cant do shit and well that GI hardly gave u anything at all, only if you are lucky and she goes into gloomy u get a real reward :(.

Also anybody can say anything bout 2B? Im not sure if she got nerfed, or pushed more. I dont really use her, i just hate to only see thousands of 2Bs online.
