Nothing like a big announcement to wake me from my slumber. Guess it's a good time to put down Rocket League for a bit and get back into SC now that my girl Cassandra is back in the mix. Love her design, thicc thighs and all.

Super stoked to see season 2 teased as well. I was always optimistic about it but to have it confirmed is refreshing after the amount of silence we've endured leading up to now. I think Haohmaru is a bit safe play for a guest. Nakoruru would have been a way better choice imo, but I can see why they would choose Haohmaru. Hopefully this means Mitsurugi will be making his way over to Samurai Showdown as well. I'm all for the exposure.

It's nice to see that the Creation Parts will be included with each release this time around. I'm also really happy to see that we're going to be getting more stages going into season 2, that is one area we are severely lacking. Fingers crossed for the Money Pit and The Narrow Gorge.

With only 4 releases for season 2, hopefully we will see more regular updates in the form of stages and stuff like that between each release to keep people interested and engaged. Regardless though, Its nice to finally see what Project Soul has been up to these past few months. I'm looking forward to firing up SC again tomorrow.
 
So why exactly do we throw out the code names now? Is that because its only 4 characters or is it because Haohmaru doesnt match any of them?

Anyway,
The ongoing issue with the character debates was clones and guest characters. We look at guest characters... and it seems that a lot of us here dont want them but then, there are upsides to that. One point is it can be exciting to get a guest because its like a surprise mystery box. We dont know what we may get. Whereas with the remaining SC characters, there isnt a lot left and we already know what to expect.

Segwaying over to the clone issue for a bit, many of us dont like seeing duplicated weapons for obvious reasons.

I find it incredibly frustrating that they have managed to take what makes guests fun and interesting to begin with, and remove this aspect by selecting a character strongly resembling another already on the roster. He's similar in weapon, appearance and general style. So now its as if people who didnt want clones are getting a big FU as well as people not wanting guests... all at one time.
 
She's already available in the Japanese PSN store.

I'm kind of disappointed that season pass 2 characters were reduced from 6 to 4. Hopefully, there is a season 3 and the release intervals are sooner.

Listen there are 3 slots and we have 3 missing styles that this timeline fits.

If we had 5 or 6 slots I would say Hwang is basically a shoe in. I will still tweet and beg and fight for hwang but I am ready to be disappointed again

Nakoruru is just as big of a name actually. Bandai Namco also picked guests who aren't the biggest character from its property for Tekken 7 in Akuma from Street Fighter and Geese from Fatal Fury. They really could have picked another big name character from Samurai Shodown instead of Haohmaru.
 
Finally, she has arrived and it was also a nice surprise to have season 2 confirmed with major changes coming too. This is a good sign that we may even get a season 3 if season 2 sells well which I hope it does.
