Hey everyone, my name is Niko! I'm very excited to show you guys my extensive collection of characters I created in SC6! I hope you guys like them :)

Starting off small, with some of my favorite creations: The Jungle Fury Spirit Rangers

And the Bat Spirit Ranger! (This one took a while, since the helmet is so complicated)

Will continue this thread steadily, and I'm excited to hear what you guys think 😁

Hey Niko--welcome to the community! Looking forward to seeing what you've got to show us!

Mmmhmmm, some pretty solid ExEq/object work on the masks, and decent custom sticker editing for the outfits as well. You were somewhat helped along by the concept here though (I assume these are reference pieces for some contemporary Power Rangers thing?), because it let's you use a very simple, stark color palette with very little nuance or detail. Not that there's anything wrong like that: every creator who does reference designs occasionally has to do something with a very minimalist aesthetic, just because of the original design and/or because of the original medium. But it does leave me curious to see more, so I can see how you tackle more color- and feature-complex concepts. :)

Anyway, on the strength of those masks alone, I think this is a strong first post: I don't know how faithful they are to the target design, but in a more general sense, they look good to me, even close up.

Thank you for the warm welcome :) I appreciate the feedback very much! Yes, these are Power Rangers from the season Jungle Fury. You were right on the nose, these designs have a lot of unique detail and naturally lend themselves to bright highlighter colors. I wanted to drop some of my simpler designs first but trust me, there is a LOT in store and I'm eager to show it all off!

Can't wait to see it, then--I like that enthusiasm and confidence!

welcome to post creation. For a start, this is very encouraging. Looking forward to seeing your next achievements.

Alright guys, I'm back. And this time, I'm going ALL out!! Just kidding :) or am I!? I'm not. I gave everyone a tease of what's to come with my Spirit Rangers. I think it's time to turn up the heat!

We got a big dump, so buckle up. I'm starting off with one of my proudest creations. Truly my magnum opus. I present:

YES this is the one and only Green Goblin. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Here we go, rapid fire.

It's turtle time!

I'm kinda getting sick of green, how about we mix it up? These are the Ninja Turtles as Power Rangers! (These actually exist, it was a crossover comic)

Yes, even Shredder gets his hands on some sweet, sweet Ranger power!

I think that's gonna be it for today. I recently got a new job so I'm a bit more busy BUT I will never be busy enough to be active. Until next time :)

Woops! Looks like someone dropped this ;)

While the colour palette is what you need to work on, or add some grit to the turtles like they were in a fight etc.
But the way you design heads / helmets is kinda cool and creative, and you TMNT renditions are excellent using simple yet effective ExEq and sticker combos. Recreations are not an easy task :)

Wow, what a high compliment! I'm gonna be honest, this is kinda crazy to me since you're literally what inspired me to get ridiculously deep into CaS when I was a kid, way back in the SC5 days. I appreciate the feedback, the turtles do feel a bit clean. My approach to CaS is a sort of blend between cartoon/comic and realism. It's reminiscent of my art style, and I think it'll be even more obvious when we get to my Marvel collection. But nonetheless, I greatly appreciate this feedback, and I'll definitely look through my stuff with that in mind :)

I noticed your gallery a few months ago, when you only posted the Rangers from Jungle Fury. Props on the helmets for being spot on, no denying who they are however here's where things kinda went left, the choice for the suits aren't the best. The clothing downgrades the quality of time you spent creating the helmets, a better choice would've been the rubber unitard.

The TMNTS fall short of the talent you showed when demoing you're PR JF, The Shredder looks decent but plan. Try to use color textures more than solely depending on stickers to flesh out your CAS's and stickers being applied to add depth plus accents.

In closing theirs potential here, but more time needs to be spent on the overall creation. Personally, I'm strictly someone who only does recreations, so I'm a stickler for perfection.

I appreciate the feedback! While I too would've rather used the rubber leotard for the rangers, the way their patterns are makes the sticker/pattern combos nearly impossible to work with. Their design needed to be broken up among multiple pieces. I was also trying to avoid the sheen of the leotard because it's a bit distracting.

As for the turtles, I was going for a deliberate mega hybrid of design elements! I went with the color scheme of the OG turtles, while sneaking in some live action elements and tying it together with my own flare. I get they look a bit plain but that's to exaggerate the colors in my eyes. I've tried playing around with the suggestions people have given me and it ruins the look I was going for. In fights, they move around a lot, so I wanna be able to see that detail. I also purposely showed off my more cartoony/simple recreations before diving into my true proudest CaS's. Not trying to needlessly defend of course, just wanted to give some insight into my thought process behind em!

If it mends your concern, I've been working on a very detailed Giant Robots collection, which I believe is currently my best work! Here, actually:

I don't want you taking my critiques as a slight on your ability to create, but use them as tools to improve with time. Feel free to look through my galleries for a more accurate take on what I was referring to.
