And I was thinking we could change ways of normal attacks in battle, like gun or physical, and the number of party members like 3 or 4 in battle, which means 6 or 8. Changing ways of casting spells between magic and Arcana would also be nice.

Sounds like you got some Ideas down so far. Ask yourself this: what is the most essential need you must fill to make a game like this? How do you approach this? And how would the consumer/player feel about these mechanics.

Also, have some of the mechanics tell part of the story as well. A lot of games forget that it is not just cut scenes alone that should tell the story. It is how the game presents itself.

BTW, if you need any help in your Bushido Blade project, I can help with voice acting.

Thanks for the offer but I am not anywhere near production yet.

Your suggestion for asking myself a question have me stumped. Are you wanting to know that glitches in the PS2 era might be fixed?

Also, I was wondering if characters from Bushido Blade 2 might return in your game, like Gengoro, Kaun, Jo, Chihiro, Nightstalker or whatnot. If you come up with young male fighters for me to voice, let me know.

It is how you tackle the project. You need to ask and answer yourself those questions. Otherwise you are no where near ready to make a game.

For software, what would you recommend?

Mamoru_Hasukage
Not just software, but your overall plan.

Another thing about you project. Will it allow downloadable characters, say like Kenshin or Alucard?

Personally, when I get into the field, I will avoid direct characters as much as possible. But just adding characters to the roster? Maybe? Depends on if I can find a way to make each character unique.

What do you think of Tatsumi or other characters?
Mamoru_Hasukage
Mamoru_Hasukage
That's the one problem with BB. Characters were non important more so in this game then any other fighting game. With no particular weapon making them unique, it seemed non important.

In other words: I do not think of them in any way. xD

I'm sorry that I asked. I am glad you plan to revive BB, and would like to voice if I have the opportunity. As for options in character select menus, they should have had the option to switch outfits, but that's just my opinion.

I'm curious about the option put in music, too. There are rare chances where I can find a game that I could put music in.

Never be sorry to ask a question XD. I have not had much thought about the music option you mentioned, but I will see how I can go about doing that.

And what about software that is used to make the game? I'm just curious.

Well if it is for bushido blade, you want to go for best physics possible. I.E.: Havok or better. In a jrpg like wild arms I would not worry too too much.
S
SmashFan127
And do you recommend any software available for making JRPGs? Cause I can't find a good software which has a site to help with making RPGs like WA.

A lot of Jrpgs end up using in house engines. So there really i not anything I could suggest.

Are you into tutorials on making games like Bushido Blade or Wild Arms to begin with?
