They have the equipment and the tree is just lying there. So there is no other work needed to be done besides move said tree and call it a day.

@slayer i might just go with your idea lol

Just realized in my haste i originally used the wrong spelling for tree lol. Apparently a week without internet kills my ability to use words properly

Yeah man I feel ya. A whole ton of money :(. Hope everything is okay after the hurricane. It would've cost us 500 bucks just to seal cracks in the roof shingles; instead my dad did the work himself but twisted his back.

Damn i hope ur dads ok. This tree might really fuck up my funds for a few months. Cant be too mad though cuz at least i was safe and had no property damage

Yeah thanks he's all right now. Parents are aging...*sigh I need to get my act together and finish school. And glad you're safe, which is most important.

if you want, go buy a wood cutting axe for like $20-$50, and go chop the tree to little hunks of firewood and remove it yourself on your spare time. then sell the firewood or give it to a friend with a fireplace.

Sorry to hear you have to pay the most. Since I heard that it's a mega tree and I don't know how thick the trunk is, sorry if this useless advice: You need to remove all the branches with a chainsaw and then, from the bottom of the tree, work your way up and cut the trunk into small pieces. After all that, chop up the branches and pieces with an axe into firewood and hopefully make some money.
