I liked how the first one involved alchemy being people burning the souls of dead WW1 people in the real world.

I liked in the first who they didn't shoot the whole theme out the window at the end.

Shangrila did exactly that.

I'm not sure if he's talking about the anime Shangri'la or if he's thinking of the Shamballa movie for FMA. Either way, the first series' ending wasn't even canon. It also left out so many characters and events. Brotherhood followed the original work more or less verbatim.

Thinking of Shambala. The ultimate crappy ending.
