Well, it's more like I just can't play at all. I can't even go online anymore. I DC with everyone and it's gotten to the point that I'm lucky to finish 1 game all day. This problem has actually been going on for a while and it seems there's no way to fix it.
The fact this all happened with a tournament about to go on really upset me and I took it as a sign. I wasn't meant to compete. I've been trying to get to a point to attend tournaments. An online tournament was almost like a godsend but got shot by my shit internet.
I've exhausted all the resources I could spare and done everything you could to make playing online the best you can. But all of it still wasn't enough. So, I'm done. I can't even try to compete.
It's South Carolina and no there aren't any scenes out here. We have them all along the east coast but SC is not one them. Plus attending one is costly. In short, no they're not an option. As stated, I exhausted the resources I could spare.
You remember what our connection was like before? I'm pretty sure I know how this will play out but ok. If nothing else this will show you why I'm done messing around with this crap. What time zone are we going by?
:( Your connection was decent enough with me last week. I dont think you should quit because of something like that. Bad connections hasn't stopped a lot of people. Hell man, consider getting xbl again if it keeps dcing! DON'T LEAVE US RAY :(:(:(
I agree with Fukou, that's true, but then during the tourney I was able to play and watch the stream at the same time, something I thought was never possible for me...and I was playing overseas...with NiceLikeIce
This has been going on for months now. I'm honestly surprised we had a decent connection last week Fukou. I was expecting DCs hence the lag test. My cable was still damaged during our ft5. Over the week it just kept getting worse and once it's fixed, the problem still persists? Seriously. I made sure the cable was fixed correctly and even then I redid the repair.
As for XBL, I don't even have a 360 copy of the game anymore. I don't have the money to get that whole thing running again. You're looking at $200+ for everything. I just spent $40 repairing the cable and that alone was too much. The worst part about the whole thing, there's seems to be no lag during the fights. Just DCs every match.
It COULD be the issue. Networking technology is so finicky these days. Try doing multiple speedtests that give multiple points of reference. speedtest.net is not a good one for this kind of thing. You want a consistency check.
Fukou come on man. If it was the modem or service provider or even the service, it would've affected everyone is the house. We run 3 computers, 2 PS3s and a PS4. I'm the only one having connection issues and it only started 2 months ago when my cable initially got damaged.
