JG has tremendous advantages as everybody knows it "gives" frames and meter but I think the best application of it is that it nullifies effects of moves that, when blocked, would force crouch, knockback, or stun.
As a Pyrrha main, JG is almost a fourth to a third of my game. Almost any JG'ed...
If I may make a small correction/clarification...
Wrong timing with extra tap --> guarded on the extra tap, no JG. Gets hit on frames between the wrong timing JG attempt (guard button released window) and the extra tap.
I know this all too well from being a victim of it so much in the past.

Don't random CE
Don't 236A,A BE, better off saving that meter for GI or opponent grounded 66B BE
Don't drop air combos
Vary your attack patterns more
Practice Just Guards
