I don't like it when Soul Calibur veers off completely from physical weapons that have a "real life logic" to them. Ivy's bladewhip, for example, is a great fantasy design despite being "unrealistic" and Siegfried with his ridiculous sized paddle of a sword is visually striking.
But Algol and...
Seriously, I always thought the lack of 3B and other signature Sieg moves on Nightmare was the most compelling evidence that Siegfried would have to be in.
Not a huge fan of the armour design this time, but welp, at least he's in.
I have to say, this is my least favourite iteration of the Siegfried plate armour. Yes, he looks overtly thick and wide. They've clearly veered too much towards this thing a lot of video games do where plate has to be super bulky with huge unnecessary lumps on shoulders and waist etc. which make...
Team Battle would be such a fun feature online and further give players incentive to learn to play multiple characters, which I think is only a good thing. I've found it really disappointing that it hasn't been a thing in the recent games.
I can confirm that there will be a regular Siegfried because Okubo is a friend of mine and I've told him that I would boycott the game if Siegfried wasn't in it and he said "no worries, I got your back mate", except he obviously said that in Japanese.
Also Soul Calibur without Sieg 3B isn't a...
Well, I can think of a couple reasons:
1. They might think that having two katana users fulfills a type of a weapon style similar enough to a longsword sufficiently. And they might think that longswords are just less attractive than what they already have with Siegfried/Nightmare great sword...
I will concede that I don't know anything about Tekken's PC health but also anecdotally I do know a few people who might be getting Soul Calibur because it's on PC whereas there's no chance they would have got it were it on the new consoles alone.
The hair definitely has the hair carpet helmet syndrome. They don't seem to be aiming for realism at all in the style and that's all fine, but I do agree that the skin and hair could look better. But eh.
The heights and weights definitely never made much sense in the game. Also, looking at those, Siegfried for example has also grown taller with each installment.
I've seriously dreamed of playing Soul Calibur VI for 6 nights in a row. It's out of control. Characters have included Siegfried...
Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love it if an HD version of the Arcade Edition released. I did like III as a game from a design and content standpoint. Had the Arcade Edition been the original release, things would have been different but back in the day it couldn't undo the damage that...
