Also, in terms of Soul Calibur 5, I still feel bad how terrible the reception it got. I feel like it had some great mechanics, and in some ways felt faster than Soul Calibur 6. I loved how hard it was to break out of grabs, and how (most) of the moves had a purpose too.
That's not to say I...
If we had a Soulsborne Character as Season 3 DLC, would you want it to be one of the iconic NPCS (Solaire, Siegmeyer), or a generic version of the main character?
I think some of these people are just afraid to be kicked in the air 17 times in a row and spanked (literally and online) by a mustached God like Damp tbh.
Does anyone feel like breaking out of grabs is made way easier in this game (compared to 5)? I felt like breaking out of them in 5 was a tough thing to do, and usually you needed to read them, where in this game offline I can almost always react and break the grab in time.
I have no problem with reversal edge as a concept, but I think in execution it should take far less time to complete, and it should give far less meter than it does. I also question whether Soul Calibur in particular needed something to help out newer players as opposed to a game like Tekken...
What do you mean when you say the system? The combat system? Because in my opinion the reversal edge has done more to disrupt the fast pace of the Soul Calibur combat system then any other choice that Soul Calibur 5 made.
I agree with the comment above - I didn't play a lot of the older games, and found Soul Calibur 5 to be really tight mechanically. When I finally picked up the 4th one to try, I realized how slow I found it. I understand all the reasons people hated some of the changes, but I loved some of the...
Hey question for you guys: why was Soul Calibur 5 so hated by the community? My understanding was that it had a lackluster, rushed story and mishandled creating new characters while at the same time throwing away many of the fan favorites. Other than that though, does anyone argue that it had...
Has anyone thought that maybe the six characters 'Yellow, Star, Snow, Reptile, Yell, Stone,' may be two seasons worth of DLC returning characters (assuming one guest every season of DLC)?
Oh how could I forget. Alpha Pat and Rock were always fighting. Alpha Pat eventually won in the lore if I remember, and now has power over all future dlc roster decisions.
