I first played Soul Edge back in 1998 in a local arcade near home, I was 15 years old and that was the best fighting game I'd ever seen by faaaaar. Then I bought a sega Dreamcast in 1999 and saw Soul Calibur was already in stores, so I went ahead and bought the game the very same day I got the...
No, for me it is not nearly as important as the game (or the fighting) itself. I've been playing SC since 1998, and back then, CaS was not even a thought in the dev's minds. For me, what really sets SC apart from other fighting games is the mechanics (GIs, 8wayRun, vert and horiz moves, etc.)...
Already pre-ordered it. I just hope the rap was ONLY for the trailer. There was nothing wrong with mk's music, and honestly, rap just doesn't fit its style. If they do use rap as bgm, I'll turn the music off in the options; it doesn't feel right to beat someone to a pulp with magic and weapons...
Well, I'm all for gameplay, mechanics, and character models also, but even in some of those aspects, it seems to be lacking... Like, where the hell are 2P outfits? While it could be called "a waste of resources", I'm more inclined to call it diversity. C'mon guys, the roster is not so big, and...
How about a real gallery with illustrations and high quality models? That'd be great, even if it's only eye candy. I mean, that was there in previous games, so I don't see why they chose not to include it in this game. The museum and gallery are there, but they are lacking imo.
Nah, I think putting the names there just to throw us off would be detrimental for them. 9n the other hand, putting some obvious names and some not-so-obvious, keeps us guessing and builds the hype for when they actually reveal those.
Id love to see Rock back as well. I don't think it would ruin anyone's day if he would. Not to mention he IS IN FACT one of the most deserving to be there, even before Yun, Setsuka, or Hilde. Also, I don't think both Yun and Hwan are going to be included; my guess is one of those (YELL - YELLOW)...
Yeah, been checking on the discord, and it seems everything's there with a reliable translation. I haven't gone through the whole cast yet, but the ones I checked are there.
I wanted to get the entire patch notes to avoid having to.search one by one, but I guess that's gonna have to do in the...
This seems like a reliable translation:
New command: 6A+B4; can go into PO now if 4 is inputted before the projectile is thrown.
Fix: Reversal edge; adjusted tracking and hitboxes so it whiffs less at close range.
Fix: STK, WRO B, WRO K, PO K on block, PO 2_8 A, 2A+B, BT 2A+B, 22_88 A...
If they came up with moves for the hula-hoop, the twin blade (or whaterver Groh's weapon is called), and Ivy's blade, a flail and shield should pose no challenge at all. Also, I don't necessarily see a mace and shield playing like Sophie. It could be something like a heavy with a big (huge)...
That's not what I meant AT ALL. What I meant (mean) is IMO, historical-based weapons and styles are way more appealing than fantasy/anime based ones. There's already a ton of fighting games matching that description (BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, MvC, among others) and SC is tilting in that direction...
Perhaps it's because you're playing other chars, thus learning their movesets, pros and cons as well, so when you return to your main, your knowledge of the game as a whole has increased. Happens to me as well, and I'm pretty sure that's the reason.
You mean something like this?:
Yepp, that would be great. I think a lot of people would be happy with some back-to-the-roots weapons/styles. It would be interesting to see how many fans actually prefer realistic/historical vs. abrakadabra magic crap. We could even start a poll here and vote. I...
Happened to me as well. So far, the "work-around" I've found is, whenever I'm being comboed, I make a choice to either block, crouch-block, or tech before the combo is even finished. It is in NO WAY a solution, given you can't use it on reaction, but it does work if your opponent is used to go...
