I was surprised by the damage output of Tira as were many of his opponents I'm sure. I do think character familiarity had an impact due to the lack of Tiras showing up on the mainstage at majors. It reminded me of Toilet's ZWEI run at the early Worlds. You could tell just by the way she was...
I've seen a couple players now using Xbox pads at PS3 based tournies including the Tira who just won Evo. Anyone know what they are using for an adapter? I had an old XMB but it had more than 1 frame of lag making slide JFs impossible.
Hahaha you're right it's like a snake, it'll only cover as much distance as the size of the arena you are fighting in haha!! ;)
But on a serious note, I don't foresee any more patches. Not for simple character balance so we all might as well get used to what we do and don't like at this...
Her CE gives you 2 free 50/50 attempts that are safe and if your opponent guesses wrong either time, they lose about half their health. Imagine if Maxi's or Pyrrha's CE tracked 100% that you had two block twice that sometimes hit high, sometimes hit low and was totally safe. Now give it more...
But it's not really much of a specific to her weakness. Good use of her Orb covers her from punishment for the most part so really unless you are whiffing you aren't taking damage so it's no more of a weakness than any other close ranged character. Also the orb recall is a great infinite...
The main thing I find unbalanced about Viola is her ability to just liberally apply pressure with the balance skewed in her favour in terms of risk/reward. Having the ability to attack and defend simultaneously essentially with orb pressure is a bit out of line IMO. The ability is go into...
Hey I'm back! I'll get cracking on the rest of them. I've been working on my motorcycle. Only playing SC 3 or 4 times a week. Things are leveling out now though. I'll be able to play more.
I think if Leixia's damage was buffed her guard damage should go down.
I agree that Sieg need more damage off of 3B on normal hit. NM gets around a third of your life with Clean Hit and over a quarter without.
It needs meter though. It's punishable on hit without meter quite heavily by most of the cast. Yoshi gets 6K. 50 damage on it's own. It's stabbable, JT Twister able, etc... all on hit without meter.
Well suit yourself! I sure as hell don't want a nerf on my MCF and a:B+K Yoshi shenanigans. I might as well just useMitsu for 2x CEs and 4B bread and butter trolling haha!!
I think we all know nobody plays 100% on point. In the World's, Omega was missing NM's very easy a:B slide a notable amount. It's just tension. Woahz, a very good aPat player of course, was missing a bunch of JF Twisters in his recent tourney win. These guys are considered to be among the...
I commend your ability to do it! Your practice has paid off and you deserve the damage more than Viola silliness. ch MCF, RCC 3B, a:B+K into tech traps does a pile of damage too. It's not guaranteed but it's a strong mix up that Yoshi players who can land it deserve it for their time in practice...
But there's piles of brainless combos that do over 90! Some maybe cost one meter or something but that's the trade off for the difference in the execution of the moves. Landing 3 iGDRs should give you 90 to 100 damage no less. Not many players even bother trying cause it's so easy to mess up...
Mitsu's 4B takes no technical skill, does heavy damage, evades, knocks you down for Mitsu's silly 50/50s, tracks, is safe, recovers faster than is should even when QSed and molests your guard like a creepy uncle. One of the most poorly balanced moves in the game.
