Lizardman in every game, because I am a reptile-lover. Not in that way. Sadly, my favorite design remains his original SC incarnation. All these horns and frills and feathers and junk are sooo unnecessary.
I did something different in IV, though: I mained Rock. And I lurrved him! His attitude...
All the apologists saying how internet behavior doesn't matter because IT'S FORUMS GAWD are making my eyes cross.
I mean, look, I'll play with anyone here offline no matter how they behave on this forum, but that still doesn't excuse how I or anyone else behaves in this context. A douchebag...
That... is patently false.
Input lag is the time before a move starts up, not the time it takes for inputs to register between moves (I don't even know how you got from here to there...). And the difference is VERY MEASURABLE in SCIV's online, and the reason it was a total joke of a mode.
See thread title.
I don't really understand when it's necessary to QS and when it's okay to just plain step. I guess I could test every vertical attack in the game, but with so many characters with so many moves, I think I'd prefer some kind of general rule I could follow.
Any tips?
I'm kind of puzzled why you listed characters for whom there are clearly espies/analogues in this game.
Talim, Zasalamel, Yun-Seong/Hwang, Seong-Mina, Rock/Bangoo are all characters that are just gone with no real equivalents in this game...
If 4B weren't a vertical high, I'd have to call shenanigans.
But as it is? <3 it. Such a sweet, sweet tool. (But I have to remember not to get too predictable with it...)
I was all on board for these changes until you mentioned "maintained distance on block" probably means no more pushback.
That would actually be a very good thing if they improved the safety of a number of his close range attacks, but, well...
I will note that I am rating on character design and/or personality.
Soul Blade - Been too long, can't remember.
Soul Calibur:
1- Lizardman
2- Lizardman
3- Lizardman
4- Lizardman
5- Kilik
Soul Calibur II:
1- Lizardman
2- Talim
3- Um... Kilik?
4- Didn't really like the rest
5- 5 is too...
Well, from my perspective, anyone who fights in mortal combat had better be fit as fuck, otherwise they have absolutely no chances of surviving in actual combat. But of course, I am super-pragmatic and tend to view things from that lense, as opposed to looking for attractiveness from my (female)...
Who do I WISH was my main?
Do omitted characters count? If so, I'll put in Zasalamel. Maybe Bangoo, too, although I have absolutely no idea what kind of style he'd have gotten.
I don't understand why Viola is considered so low-tier. Yeah, her individual attacks do negligable damage, but her pressure game is insane. Or am I doing something wrong?
Maybe I'll understand better after I put a few hundred more matches under my belt...
Figured I may as well repost these here, since they are certainly quite relevant.
I would be shocked, honestly, to find anyone who makes characters similar to mine.
It's not actually that bright in-game since the camera ratchets the contrast way up (in fact, it turns bright greys into bright whites and the darks into voids of blackness), but I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the comment :)
Um. You do realize that it's the 22 motion that moves towards the screen on both sides, right?
Further, that the crouching input is also the same on both sides?
Given this (and frankly, I'm really confused by what you're trying to say here), you either DO mean the 88 motion on the 2p side...
Unfortunately, I have an Xbox 360 with no capture hardware. I do, however, have a digital SLR camera, so hopefully the shots aren't too horrible (but man, cameras sure do have ridiculous contrast ratios):
