How do you avoid CE grabs?

For example ivy and astraroth? I tried to side step, jump and attack but I'm caught seems unavoidable.

You have to anticipate it and either duck/jump before the CE animation starts.

duck them on reaction.

However, if you are an Alpha player like me, you can 214 during the CE cinematic and it will cause the throw to whiff.

Any move with tech crouch from frame 1 can be buffered during the animation freeze and it will avoid the CE. But this is a bug that will most likely get fixed in the patch this month.

So crouching will avoid the CE grab?

Well, they are throws so yes, you can avoid them by crouching.

You can also interrupt them before the super flash since they are rather slow. They lose to fast 2As even at very large advantage. Once the super flash hits though, attacking won't do you any good, unless as others have said if you have an early frame TC move.
