My post-launch Seasons predictions/wishlist

My predicitons:
New non-guest characters won't be in DLC period
Algol would be in SCVII
There won't be more than 2 seasons
Hilde and Cass are a part of first season together with some guest, if guest won't happen it'll be Setsuka or Hwang
 
My extremely wishful prediction that probably won't come true.

Prediction: Season Pass 1

Tira: Day 1 Paid DLC or Free with Season Pass 1

Cassandra
Setsuka
Hilde
100+ Customization Pieces

Guest Character 2: Paid DLC or Free with Season Pass 1 (to recuperate costs of licensing)

Season Pass 2:

Hwang/Yun-Seong
Amy (possibly with Viola's weapon)
New Character (or a young Zwei)
2P costumes for all characters
100+ Customization Pieces (probably just the 2P costumes usable in creation)
2 New Stages
 
This is gonna be an unrealistic and dreamlike scenario and I have strong doubts this would would happen but imagine this in Tokyo Game Show:

*End of Raphael trailer*
Okubo: What do you guys think of the new Raphael trailer?
Crowd: *loud cheers*
Okubo: Had you Raphael fans sweating right?
Crowd: *light laughter*
Okubo: Well, I know that many of you are upset about how the Tira DLC went down. It cost us development time and we had to cut corners to just to get her out in time for the game's release so we had no choice but to release her as paid content.
Crowd: *murmurs in discontent*
Okubo: I know it sounds bad but to compensate for this, we are announcing free DLC content for the game!
Crowd: *loud cheers*
Okubo: Do your souls still burn?
Crowd: YEEEAAAAAAHH
*Character trailer rolls in... HWANG!*
Crowd: Erupts in loud cheer!
*End of Hwang trailer*
Okubo: Hwang and another character will be available for free after the game's release. Be sure to tune-in for more post-launch announcements!
8WayRun/Reddit: Where's Cassandra? Lizardman confirmed! Is 2P costumes part of free DLC? We want more stages! I think Tira should still be free! ...

Yeah, this isn't happening but a man can dream right? I have doubts Hwang and Aeon will be in the base roster at launch but if they are revealed to be included then this would be even better than the scenario I just played out.

I feel like this is the most realistic considering who's left. If they were willing to do an all girls season pass then I'd switch Hwang/Yun for Hilde, but I think they'd want at least one non waifu on the pass. I also don't think there will be a season 3 because there are just literally no more characters lol

I could definitely live with that. I just hope a Season 2 actually happens. It seems we've been banking on it a lot.

April: CaS Parts Set 2
June: 4th DLC Character (Hilde)


July - Full Gameplay Reveal for Season 2 Character
September - Promo for Season 2 Stuff

Season Pack 2:
October: 5th DLC Character (Setsuka)
December: 6th DLC Character (2nd Guest)
February: CaS Parts Set 3
April: 7th DLC Character (Hwang)
June: CaS Parts Set 4
August: 8th DLC Character (Amy)


Getting ridiculous now but why not, if there is a Season 3, SP2 will be finished a little sooner, with some reveals prior

October: 9th DLC Character (3rd Guest)
December: CaS Parts Set 4
February: 10th DLC Character (New Female Character)
April: CaS Parts Set 5
May: 11th DLC Character (Viola)
July: CaS Parts Set 6

I am okay with this just as long as they announce sc7 early so people will only lose some of their poop at certain characters not making it.

I think there are 2 scenarios in which there won't be a 2nd season of DLC -> 1) Game doesn't sell well or 2) They want to have complete focus on SC7 releasing in the first year of PS5 / next XBOX release... which would be late 2020 or 2021. If the game does well in competitive scenes though, the chance of it having a second season is very high.

Nah, I'd prefer for them to take their time and make the game best possible (which would be possible with enhanced budget they'll probably get if SCVI turns out successful). And announcing it too early (1 year+ from release) is not very good for hype sustain, 4-6 months before release is perfect.

If the game is big enough, I think we could see a Season 3. From the player and media responses, SoulCalibur VI appears like it will be successful so I think we will get a Season 2. Season 3 will depend on its longevity within the FGC and the success of Season 1 and Season 2 DLC.

If it's more optimal for them to release in the 2nd or 3rd year, then the only case in which there won't be a Season 2 of DLC is if the game or Season Pass 1 bombs.

This would be fantastic, though that seems like a very expensive Season 2 lol. I also think there's a good chance Lizzy will be in base. Tira, Hwang, Aeon, and Guest won't sell that well especially if the guest ends up being meh.
