[New England] Booze + Puritan Values

as some of you may have heard, Game Underground is hosting their third big tournament, GUTS3, at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in CT, from Sept 19-21, 2014.

as of now, SCV is not on the game roster, but if we garner enough interest, we can propose the idea to the tournament organizer and there is a good chance the game will be added.

i figure we'd start by gauging the interest in this thread, 'cause if we can't get the local community to support it, not sure we'll get anyone to travel for it.

what are your thoughts, and are you guys in here up for it?

SCV will be at GUTS in some fashion, it's one of the top games in RI, all they need is a TO for it.

EDIT: Also it's at a casino. I'm sure people are coming Kappa
 
Well, it could be a main event if we have enough interests, I think we can make that happen...and even if its not a main event it will then be a side event but even then it will be held as a tourney either way. However since its not "yet" set in stone(at least for SC5) i guess making a thread for it in the tourney announcement thread is fine... LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!

"HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! Texas Holdem Poker Tournament! This event will be EXCLUSIVE to GUTS 3 attendees and take place in Foxwood's pro level poker room with actual Foxwoods dealers running the action! Even spectators are allowed to enter! This will take place Sat night at 10pm after our "Chip Damage Exhibitions"! Our plan is to be finished with all over our Sat Night events in time for anyone to enter! This will be the one event where a Street Fighter Player, a Smash Player, and some kid's Dad can all show down! YOU MUST PREREGISTER ON THE GUTS 3 WEBSITE by Aug 25th to enter! You will pay at the venue for this event but IF YOU DO NOT PREREG YOU CAN NOT ENTER!"


That's right folks, get your poker faces ready!!, 'cause this is happening in addition to a SC5 tourney with enough interests/entrants!!

Good news!

Jamie from Game Underground just said that Soul Calibur V is actually an official tourney at GUTS3, but hasn't announced it because he needs a TO. i mentioned to him that you would be willing to help and he said to hit him up on facebook if you are interested. his name on facebook is James York. on his page you should see the title, "Owner of Game Underground".

I'll play poker for sure. I'll even enter shitty SCV...but why isn't SC2 HD even being considered for this?! SC2HD>>>>>>>>>SCV

I could TO for both SCV and SC2HD if someone needs to. I can bring my laptop with Tio, ASUS Monitor, PS3 w/ SC2HD fully unlocked.

*edit* Oh, okay I just saw Xavier's post about being TO for SCV. I'm still willing to volunteer for SC2HD. Do any of you want to play it?

That's right you guys, Jaime from GU confirmed SC2 at GUTS 3 today on Facebook. I'll be your TO. More specific details to come.
