Greetings and welcome to madhouse, sir.
Having trouble doing inputs? Spend some time in Training Mode practicing the input that's not working out right for you, focused solely on whichever move it is and nothing else until you can perform it correctly by habit. If it becomes habit, you should be able to pull off the move without focusing on getting it right; it'll just come naturally after enough practice.
Ivy's 6b8(Ivy Lick)? Focus on each input individually. Forward(6), Y or triangle button by default(B), up(8). Practice doing the input slower at first and gradually speed it up until you see Ivy strike the sky with her whip. Then start practicing it after 3B(down-forward then Y/triangle). If you just get a standing B attack you're doing the 6 input after the B input instead of before. If you're getting a jumping attack, you're doing 68B and need to slow down your directional input significantly. And the good thing is if you want to do the Brave Edge version of this attack it's really no more difficult(6b8A+B+K) on any kind of controller or stick if you have A+B+K set to a single button.
Matches dropping? There's several things you can do to improve this.
1: Use a wired connection instead of wireless. Wireless may be more convenient, but even if you have a wireless router inches away from your console your connection will be less stable and subject to interference wired connections will not experience. Even a phone that isn't in-use can interfere with wireless connections.
2: Don't have any other devices accessing your network while you play online. This makes a *HUGE* difference. If any other machine is accessing your network other than your console while you play online, the stability and quality of your connection will drop vastly. It doesn't matter if you're torrenting the latest Latvian latex porn or someone's ebook device is updating its account info, it will brutally murder your connection. Avoid it if you can.
3: Play around with all your settings. Enable port forwarding, secure your network so someone else can't access it without knowing the name of the network & password & encryption key, and now I just realized I've forgotten the most important things. Well hopefully someone with a better memory will come in here and fill in that blank -_-
4: Throw away that janky PS3 and pay for XBL instead. Everyone that has both seems to insist that XBL is a better network anyways so...
