I said I would post my results on 8wayrun of my results from p90x for motivation for people so here it goes. You can play video games and still be fit, never feel you have to sacrifice one for the other. Well, here goes my results, continuing to bring it!

Day 1: I was getting my gut back working at pizza hut, as you can see lol.

Day 30: By day 30 my stomach was already slimming down with more definition in my chest. I was in way better shape and more energy.

Day 60: Definition in my arms and back. Also more definition in my chest and stomach slimed down even more. There's also noticable weight lost in my waist.

Day 90: And here it is, graduation pic. Changes in waist, stomach, chest, arms, back.....just everywhere. The lighting sorta sucks on it but oh well. I even got a little four pack showing lol.

Day 1/Day 90 Comparision: Pretty self-explanitory, a side-by-side pic comparison from when I started up to day 90.

This is a day 80 photo comparison, I just posted this pic to show how blown up this excercise can make you if you want it to. The recovery week makes you cool back down lol.

But wait, my journey doesn't end here! :)

I did continue the program even farther, adding more and more definition, shape, and endurance to my body:

So rather you doing it for the health, the looks, or just the energy to keep up with your kids (trust me, I know that feeling o.O)

P90x does give you the tools to get that done. You stick with the nutrition, you do the workout and you WILL get results. Let's get it in, bring it! X

"....Cause it's the X people!" Tony Horton

Good luck with that. Want nothing to do with P90x mostly because the Army hops on whatever new "legit" fitness program is out. We're doing CrossFit now, but it was P90x before that.

I love p90x, this stuff is awesome! I never thought I would get results so fast. It's almost like a year worth's of work packed into 90 days, i'm really proud of my results. I'm going for two more solid cycles and will graduate up to one-on-one with Tony Horton once it comes out.

dizam, now I really gotta stop messing around and get back onto this. Having been evicted from my house kinda put me in a downed mood but you gotta keep moving. I will get back on this once I find a spot for my weights.

The sight of Tony Horton everyday can become really annoying, not to mention his voice.

I did this for more than 90 days until I got to the point where I had a visible 4 pack, I aimed for 6 pack but unfortunately my skin condition didn't allow me to get any further.

I stopped working out about 5 months ago and my abs disappeared, meh. I will get back to it soon I guess.

Wow, nice work Shogun. I remember after Quakecon you were saying you "still need to do the day's P90x workout," and I'm thinking, "Still?! It's 1 A.M. This man is super dedicated." That dedication definitely paid off.

good job shogun. lol @ link.....dude i was thinking the same thing when shogun told me that he still needed to do that p90x when he got home before his day at work (or something like that). but for real...thats pretty cool though shogun. keep it up! :sc2nm1:

Lol, yep, I still had legs and back to do that day. Man I was so exhausted and I still had to do it. I also still had to work that day too.

Quakecon was fun as with you guys too, that shit rocked. Link you are something to behold man, and you will rarely hear me say that about other gamers. Your brother is amazing too.

Dan, we gotta kick it sometime man, you a coo ass dude.

Gonna favorite this. This is gonna be motivation for me. I just D/L'd the P90X from a torrent. Still don't know what it is, just that it's an exercise program. Another friend of mine lost an insane amount of weight on it. I just wanna be healthy and get down to like 150lbs. I'm currently like 200lbs. I'm going to give this a run.

I have a question though... this is supposed to last you 3 months, after that do you stop and then get back on if you'd like or what? What comes afterward?

Is there a way I can get the 3 Phase Nutrition Plan book without purchasing the whole P90X box? Been looking for a free PDF file, no luck. Shogun did you follow the dieting plan along with doing the fitness regiment or just did the exercises?

Well it seems BeachBody doesn't sell the book on its own. I looked on ebay and found it. I will settle for that.

Congrats man. Instead of going for the P90X, I decided to start working out by getting the Xbox Kinect and EA Sports Active 2 and Fitness Evolved. They're both really good fitness games, especially Active 2, which comes with a heart rate monitor and it gives you real time feedback on your heart rate, and how many calories you burn. It also puts you on a scheduled 9 week program, which gives you statistics, and you can tell it what kind of things you've been eating or other workouts you've been doing outside of the game in order for it to track your stats better. It also helps you on what kind of food you should be eating. It's really good and actually lots of fun. Keeps me really motivated. Hopefully it will give me good results. Guess I'll know in 9 weeks. :)

Well p90x is a 90 day extreme workout program, it's an upgrade from the power 90 Tony Horton made a couple of years before its release (p90x = power 90 extreme).

Yes the routine itself is about 3 months and is best to follow the workout schedule listed in the guide (can be found online).

The thing about p90x is that it gives you to tools and the motivation to handle any type of workout after you graduate from it, and there's other ways of making muscle confusion with the workout routines to keep challenging your body. So to basically put it, there's no end to p90x pretty much, if you want to continue getting in the best shape of your life. If you are happy with the results and want to end there, doing 3 of the resistance days (as long as their not targeting the same body parts) about 30 minutes a day will keep you on the same track. Anything extra and you will continue to push your body forward. I love this workout routine, i'm currently doing my second 90 days now (on day 134 right now).

The nutrition plan you probably won't find online. I follow the nutrition guide pretty well and it made me get my results twice as fast. I had a beach body coach help me with the nutrition part, but the meals you pretty much have to prepare yourselves. After getting an insight of what foods to eat and what foods to look out for the nutrition portion becomes pretty easy. I can give you a list of things that will be listed in the guide and what you should be putting in your body:

Wheat
Canola and Soy oils
Fruit (whole not canned or juice)
Chicken, Turkey, or Fish
Eggs
Nuts (not salted or sugared or any of that)
Natural Protein bars (these work great!)

Things to look out for:

White bread
Beef and pork
Vegitable Oil
Fruit juices (juice after a workout is fine, but limit to a cup only)
Processed foods (breaded chicken patties, hot dogs, etc.)
Milk (limit 1 cup, 2 cups is pushing it)
Carbonated Drinks
High Fructose corn syrup

That should get ya started as far as the nutrition portion. Out of the foods listed be sure to eat every three hours (i'll have to explain later why its good, it's a long post lol) On a good day (I sometimes fall on certain parts of the diet) This is what my diet can compose of. This is a list from morning to evening:

1 egg sandwhich (egg fried in canola oil on 2 pieces of wheat bread)

Six Star Muscles protein shake
2% Milk (1 cup)
2.5 tblspn of ovaltine

Cliff Protein bar

4 Oz. Boneless skinless chicken breast baked
3 pieces of wheat bread
Sweet tea (small amount of sugar

cliff hanger protein bar

4 oz's talipia baked
mixed vegitables (boiled from frozen, not microwaved)
sweet tea, little sugar.

After awhile you will realize you can start mix and matching things. Hope this helps.

@Oof Nice, bring it then! :) Do whatever it takes to get in shape, I can honestly say I really enjoy how I feel and continuing to get in the best shape of my life! I posted my results to give people some motivation and to answer any questions they might have had if thing thing really works. Well I'm living proof that it does. I get complemented all the time about my results and get asked for a lot of fitness advice afterwards. And on a side note besides the health and feel good benefits, women will check you out alot more once they see, and will want to touch on you constantly. Lol, well that's not the real reason why you would want to do it, but it is an added bonus in my book :p.

Doin this right now. shits intense tryin to keep pace. Hopin ill have that 6 pack finally. Still beats goin to the gym (fuck 30 minute treadmills...soo boring)

The diet portion is what sucks to me. I know that in the back of the book there's an even simpler plan. For like people who can barely boil water. Post that if you will, please.

What's wrong with milk? Is there any reason why people should look out for it? Health benefits aside, skim milk is really good for weight loss and muscle building: low calories, high protein.

Well I don't have the guide myself, I just know what foods to look out for and which foods to have inside of your system. True enough all the food that is highly recommended should be cooked by you or someone else but it's not that hard I promise.

For boneless skinless chicken breast I can just throw in the oven and bake @ 400 and it pretty much be ok, especially if I chop it into smaller pieces.

@ Ring: Man dude I thought the exact same thing, but yea it's true, milk is not recommended during intense work-outs and dieting. It has everything your body needs nutrients wise but our body is just not built to absorb milk properly from cows. A vague way of putting it is milk is kinda like spider-man 3, it had everything a movie needed to be good, but it just sucks.

I questioned it myself until I lowered my consumption of it and started noticing the results. It's crazy.

Is milk really bad? I remember my old running coach would tell us to have some chocolate milk after practice.

Personally I have never had any problems with milk. I was drinking it and still got results. Maybe each body is different. I'm back to p90x and I'm mixing it with Beachbody's Insanity. I want to lose about 10-15lbs before my surgery, I have 6 months left. The last couple lbs of fat are really difficult to get rid of. I tried that early this year but failed so hopefully this time I will win :)

Shogun, how much weight did you lose during this entire process?

milk is good if you want to bulk, but most definitely not as good if you´re looking to cut. :)
but bottom line with fat loss is calories in versus calories out.

the easiest way is to decide if you want to add muscle, or lose fat. they´re kind of hard to do at the same time.
to put it in broad terms: if you want to add muscle, AKA bulk, you should strenght train hard,
and be on a calorie surplus.
if you want to lose weight, you should do lots of cardio, and be on a calorie deficit. :)

What I've been doin' is trying to lose all the "Fat" I can. Being lean, at 140lbs is good enough for me to start my bulking up. P90x is good, but you can achieve desirable results by going to the gym for 45mins-1hr, frequently. Of course, routine's are the things to pay attention too, and depending on if you're wanting to bulk up or lose weight, you'll have to do some changes to your eating habits.

A good friend of mine got incredibly ripped by doing exactly what I'm doin', in a month's span. No p90x involved. I'm all for p90x, though. I think it's great... but it's too boring for me.
