Ayyy I'm hanging in there. It's been fairly quiet on this site and I realize I haven't been too active myself, either. It seems like there's a lull now that it's spring, at least that's how it feels for me.

Yes his SC3/SC5 "fur-lined heavy
coat" is >his tailed coat in SC6. I think they're aiming to replicate his SC1/2 design more this time around

They actually re-drew SC3 Zas, as a starting point when designing SC6? Or were these concepts done back in SC3 ?
Anyways, the 2nd design imo is pretty weak, and overall lacks cohesion. Unfortunately it looks like they took this one and turned him more symmetrical. Either that or they were trying to riff with the SC6 final design to see if they could go crazier.
4th design would have been a pretty cool starting point, maybe lose the sleeve-tassel thingies

All of his designs look overdone and tacky, including the one we got. His best design to date was his SC3 2p imo.

I agree, i love that design for Zas. SCIII had the best designs overall, if we're being honest.

Hands down. There's more....mystery to this design I guess. It's way more subtle and effective than giant pointy gold pauldrons.

The most I can really say about Zas’ design in SC6 is that it’s okay…but it just feels too messy in some points.

Soul Calibur 3 has incredible designs, can't never get enough on how Sophitia looked so incredible in this game and i don't even main her.
And Zasalamel was top notch design indeed.

Soul Calibur 6 may be all the things he says it is but I put very little stock in the accuracy of his information otherwise and there is absolutely no way I'm even going to make it to end of that.
Also there is no way Soul Calibur is the most egregious example of the anti-consumerism he seems to be referring to. In a world with EA in it it's not even close to the worst. Just a tiny little hanger-on-er by comparison. Like a flea on your pets coat.
I haven't even played the game in order to form any kind of opinion beyond any of that which again ironically is the only reason I chose to partake in this to pass a moment and seeing as this has offered little to no encouragement beyond an unbearably exaggerated pretense to the great 'fandom' of this series he so boorishly claims to represent I'm going to swiftly resume caring very little now.

Trash video. It is a shame the soulcalibur community isn't big enough to ratio it. At least I'll contribute a thumbs down.
He obviously barely played this game or has little history with the previous games. We've seen the effort that Okubo and Project Soul put in, especially for Season 2. I am grateful for what they gave us.

Compared to the rest of the current gen 3D fighters, SC is probably the least egregious offender for everything he was accusing it of. It also seems like he didn’t bother following any of the development of the game since a large proportion of what he said could be accounted for by the game’s low budget which, to the credit of Project Soul, they’ve done a fairly good job of circumventing while providing a notable amount of new content (except for CAS).
