There will be. SC6 sold beyond it's expectations of the suits and we know there's a passionate team that currently make up Project Soul. For me that's all I need to know it's in the bag. It's great to hear that SCVI sold well! Hopefully this can guarantee a sequel in the future.
About this art:
I think when they sold enough to make a Season 2 it also secured a sequel. Probably a same budget sequel, but a sequel none the less. And the fact that most of the story in the last DLC was setting up a sequel reiterated that. It's great to hear that SCVI sold well! Hopefully this can guarantee a sequel in the future.
yeah i immediately knew something was off about everyone except mitsu and groh. perhaps nightmare and inferno are drawn and not in game models that are traced?About this art:
Mitsu's face looks like Kawano's artwork but the rest of the body seems like high quality tracing. Groh's got a hand-drawn face, and his sleeve looks really detailed with the creasing.
The rest of the cast pretty much look like stylized tracing, especially of their CE animations.
If you look at characters you can see they still inherit the "giant hands" issue of the models
Nonetheless I'm surprised how well the models translate to the 2d looking artwork. Makes me always wonder how far they could have gone with a cel-shaded visual aesthetic. I suppose 2D models in a fighter that heavily emphasizes 3D movement is counter intuitive, but the 2D art is so good.
Can anyone translate the japanese text on the right and bottom of the image in the following tweet ?
Its a PDF so I dont know how to dump that into google translate
I'm guessing its got information regarding frame data (entire animation, impact frames, distance, attack heights.)
