So if we sum things up with the most reasonable guesses:
STONE = Rock
STAR= Potentially Algol
SNOW= Setsuka
REPTILE= Lizardman
YELLOW= Dampierre maybe?

As for YELL, why can I only think of Yun-Seong? XD
I thinking the same with Yun-Seong with YELL being the code name, his SCIV model can be port to Unreal Engine 4 like all the other characters from SCIV & is the favorable Dao user.

Yellow certainly seems to work better for Dampierre than most other possibilities, but, although technically originally introduced in SC:BD, he's really more of a figure connected with SCV--and so at least a half-step farther into the chronology than I think they want to go with this game, from all indications. Besides, he's just straight one of the most absolutely least popular characters in the history of the franchise, who was divisive even among the development staff who produced him. I just can't fathom they would select him for inclusion before Hilde, Li Long, Hwang, and potentially Yun-seong or a guest character--it doesn't seem to fit their design priorities for this game and it would leave fans mostly scratching their heads as to the choice. But all joking aside, I think you could be right about Yun-Seong, and I think it continues to be probable that one (but not both) of the dao wielders would be included in season two.

Just to let you all know, Yun-seong means "blessed star" and Hwang literally means "yellow".

But, I'm going to have think about "Yell" for a bit.

I recently pulled my PS2 out of mothballs for an afternoon of SCIII:CE ...nostalgia has done more for those bonus characters than can be justified by their rather pitifully fleshed-out movesets, I am afraid to report. I mean, I knew they would be more limited than I was recalling, but they are seriously mostly hopeless. Anyway, if Hwang is a homophone for 'yellow' in Korean as has been noted above, I'd say that one is locked. But it's also hard to say who now captures the role of 'STAR'; Yun-seong, or Algol?

If both Hwang and Yun-seong make it in, we can have even more clone debates, so I'm probably going to go with that, since if we get Rock, we'll have that clone debate with Astaroth, so may as well bring all the clones to the table so they can all fight equally.

I know a girl who has several connections with stars...:sc5vio1:
Moon, yes. Roses, yes. Wine, yes. Stars, I guess so? Her silly fake age being associated with tri-color stars, but I don't really think that counts.

Does this mean "Yell" is Z.W.E.I., in that case? "COME FORTH, E.I.N.!!" is pretty yelltastic.

I wouldn't complain--she was one of the silver linings of V--provided it followed Amy proper. But I just don't think any SCV character has a chance at inclusion at this juncture.

Silly me. The seong in "Hwang Seong-gyeong" is also "star" much like Yun-seong. But, everyone just calls him Hwang. So, I'm just gonna stick with yellow for him.

Also, they're not bringing back SCV characters this quickly. Abandon all hope. lol

Well, Hwang is the family name, so if we're doing that for Yun-seong, we'd need to source Hong, which means water or flood, but that doesn't match any of the words, but then again, no one calls Yun-seong Hong just like no one calls Hwang Seong-gyeong.

I have a silly thought that Star can stand for a live action series character, just like they did with Nevan in Tekken. I wouldn't bet a dime on that but that's just a random silly thought

Or may be they just saw what happened when people mined the previous data and decided to tease us by putting some rather obvious codes there and they don't really mean anything at all XD

Here are my guesses of what the codenames mean so far:

STONE = Rock
YELL = Hilde
STAR = Algol
SNOW = Setsuka
REPTILE = Aeon
YELLOW = Hwang

Correct me if I'm wrong. =3
