unless you bought all the cars or beat career, don't even attempt online yet. i made that mistake when i first got it. EVERYONE uses the best cars in the game, so it's not even worth playing unless you have a high enough level car.
aside from that, it's been pretty good to me. not much lag, semi-decent players (non-dirty players), and good action. there are a few problems though; one wreck will often put you in last the rest of the game due to the high level cars, long wait times for games to start (not many play it i guess).
