[14] Master
It's been a good six years since I first started one of these threads for the previous game, and I figured: why not turn up a brand new leaf? Here I'll be showcasing my new original characters as well as edits I'll be doing for the main roster. I'll get started off with Olivia, the Paladin and Altair, the Berserker:

I'll be providing more insight into these folks the next time I post on here. Stay tuned for Joaquim, the Alchemist and Emmanuel, the Warlock!

Olivia: Interesting choice with the Cyclone Hat. I see you use Taki’s armor for some extra flair, but I’d add a pocket sticker to the skin layer so that it can match the exposed skin from the Seong Wrap.

Altair: Top half looks really freaking badass, but try to play around with the lower half. You have something really cool going on but the pants and boots look plain.

Like what I see so far!

I'm not actually using the Seong Wrap for her undergarments (should have been chainmail instead but it conflicts and I digress); the sleeves are actually Condemned Arm Guards! I might screw around with the peek-a-boo skin; I kinda like it so we'll see.

As for Altair, I'm really just waiting for a different pair of knee high boots that I can use that won't already be clashing with the wildness that's happening up top. Until we get new DLC or I get new inspiration, I've just opted to keep the bottom half muted so that all the attention is on his top half.

Back with more stuff! First, some bios for Olivia and Altair:

Olivia Baumgarten
Age
: 22
Birthdate: November 18, 1569
Birthplace: Republic of Geneva, Holy Roman Empire (Modern-day Switzerland)
Height: 162.6cm (5’4”)
Weight: 54kg (118lbs)

Olivia grew up in the city of Geneva surrounded by iconographs of faith, which steadily guided her youth especially after illness took both of her parents. She spent the remainder of her youth years in a monastery devoting herself to the faith, until compassion willed her to suddenly take leave upon hearing news of the Azure Knight’s rampage of the continent. She quickly abandoned her monastery and enlisted in the military, in hopes that her blade can be strengthened by her faith. With a shield in hand and the word of God drifting from her lips, her work led her far and wide, speaking of Him on both battleground and tavern floor. Olivia now finds herself in Constantinople, empowered by her divine obligation.

Altair Yilmaz
Age
: 26
Birthdate: December 11, 1565
Birthplace: Constantinople, Ottoman Empire (Modern-day Turkey)
Height: 185.4cm (6’1”)
Weight: 98kg (216lbs)

Altair was an orphan for as long as he could remember and had a temperament reserved solely for picking fights among the other orphans. One day, he was finally adopted into a prestigious house in Constantinople and he thought all his problems would have been solved. It soon became very apparent that the stuffy and rigid life of the nobility was not meant for him, and he ran away to join the military at the tender age of fifteen. Altair’s fiery nature and eagerness to swing a fist made him perfect for the military, and over ten years later he was now a decorated officer. However, the Evil Seed rained down on one of his campaigns and he found himself in the middle of his own squadron’s corpses, his hands red and his tongue thirsting for blood…

And now introducing, Joaquim, the Alchemist and Emmanuel, the Warlock:

Joaquim Abelló
Age
: 29
Birthdate: March 3, 1564
Birthplace: Principality of Catalonia (Modern-day Spain)
Height: 180.4cm (5’11”)
Weight: 86kg (189lbs)

Joaquim grew up in the home of a traveler, whose grand halls were laden with all sorts of exotic trinkets from beyond his own imagination. Places he’d only read about in books and heard about from stories of his father’s own sojourns. But even for all the trinkets and baubles in the world that his father could collect, he was still not satisfied with what he had. And so Joaquim’s father turned to the transmundane, in search of places far beyond the comprehension of mankind. Then one day...he vanished. Joaquim found no trace of his father in their own study, save for an old dusty tome and a crudely drawn circle on the floor. Curiously enough, a bright, pulsing shard lay in the center of the chalk drawing. Joaquim soon came to learn about the possible whereabouts of his own father: Astral Chaos. With the arcane knowledge beheld in that very tome as well as the untapped power of the mysterious shard, perhaps he could save his father from oblivion.

Emmanuel Haber
Age
: 36
Birthdate: April 30, 1555
Birthplace: Al-Sham, Ottoman Empire (Modern-day Syria)
Height: 188cm (6’2”)
Weight: 92kg (202lbs)

Emmanuel needed a sign, something from the gods that would prove his faith and his life still worth living for. After seeing his wife and his child taken from him too early, and being driven out of his home by neighbors who ought to falsely ruin his reputation, he sought proof that his existence still had meaning. His dreariness brought him to a sneaky merchant, who was claiming to sell charms of luck at exorbitant prices. Emmanuel was ready to give everything he had for another shot at life. Dumping the bag of gold into the merchant’s hands, he was instead presented with a pulsing, red shard that felt like it throbbed with flowing blood. The following morning, Emmanuel woke up a changed man. Stronger. Better. His knuckles trembled with power and he knew that his wealthy neighbors would not have minded if he dropped in for a visit.

I have more characters coming up next! Stay tuned for: Sebastian, the Trickster and Belladonna, the Sellsword!

Those look promising, the backstories are really cool, and i like the reasonable use of colors and patterns.
What i miss is creative use of ExEq that could make your CAS stand out a bit more.
My favourite so far is Altair and Emmanuel's cape is beautiful...hum, i see no picture for the paladin ?
I wouldn't use spoilers but just personal choice...

Their backstories are very cool and well written, my favorites are Joaquim's and Altair's!

The characters themselves though are even better.
1st batch: Olivia as a holy knight feels so cathartic and peaceful and Altair has both a badass and a tormented aura around him.

2nd batch: Joaquim is basically how i imagined myself in LoS, i really dig his design and color scheme. Also, i'm fond of his small scar across his face, it makes his experienced arcane user theme fit well within the SC world.
Emmanuel on the other hand screams "BOSS FIGHT" for me hahaha, I love how you used the flame helmet ornament ExEq to decorate his sash. Raphy's Strategist boots and the mask mesh well with him and reinforce his villainous, betrayed from life nature even further!

Yeah, it's been a real struggle to creatively use the ExEq for CaS. I normally just don't want to toss it out willy-nilly so I've been pretty tame with them. Though I do have some creations later on that I think use them more willingly.

I used the sash to create the transition between Raph's pants and Zas's tunic; otherwise it would have been blocky looking. However, the sash by itself looked too plain so I made a little buckle with the flames ExEq. I'd say it turned out pretty well.

That new set looks awesome. Would try another color for Emmanuel if only to differentiate his design from Zasalamel a little.

I was hoping no one would notice I basically used Zasalamel's tunic untouched L O L. I'm trying to go for a dominant color scheme aesthetic (of which it will make more sense once all my CaS are uploaded, but maybe you can start to see a pattern here). I tried my best not to rely too much on the white tunic, hence the large swathes of black juxtaposed with the gold/white. That I feel like black would have been pretty generic for someone who's on the more villainous side of things.

Hey, it’s ya favorite content creator back again with some new stuff! Introducing Sebastián and Belladonna:

Sebastián Giancomo
Age:
19
Birthdate: June 11, 1572
Birthplace: Venice, Kingdom of Naples (Present-day Italy)
Height: 177.8cm (5’10”)
Weight: 74kg (163lbs)

A poor man’s son from the getgo, Sebastián grew up by the code that not everything in the world can be achieved through hard work, and sometimes hard work doesn’t get the due it deserves. And so he learned from his own father the tricks of the trade: pickpocketing, scamming, and learning how to run away really fast. But if that was how they were going to bread on their plates and water in their jugs, then so be it. Sebastián’s father didn’t live long enough to see him grow up, having been caught by guards while he himself made the getaway. That didn’t deter Sebastián, however. Where his father failed, he would succeed. Years of cunning and deceit groomed him into one of the finest conmen this side of Venice, and who could turn down the wiles of such a dashing gentleman anyway? Now he roams the streets in his stolen threads, looking for his next cow to milk.

Belladonna
Age:
28
Birthdate: January 10, 1563
Birthplace: Unknown (Born off the coast of Gibraltar)
Height: 167.6cm (5’6”)
Weight: 57kg (126lbs)

Belladonna’s mother died during childbirth and all that she knew was her older sister, holding her infant self in her frail arms as their ship rocked against the waves, destination unknown. Belladonna felt nothing but the salty water on her face, for years and years until suddenly the clouds overhead split open to blinding yellow and orange. Their ship docked in India. This hope spot would be short-lived, however, as her sister took her hand and they broke into a sprint, running right into the market crowds in hopes of losing their captors. Somewhere amidst the chaos, Belladonna’s hand slipped from her sister’s and they were separated. The last thing she saw when she finally pulled away from the crowd was her ship, her sister’s tear-streaked face peeking over the ship’s railings. They’ll meet again someday, she swears, feigning ignorance to the fact that said reunion may never actually happen.

Up next: Maia, the Priestess and Lilith, the Necromancer!

So I already posted some my 2P edits in their respective threads, but here are some shots of Grøh, Sophitia, and Talim's costumes:

Maiara “Maia” Manoban
Age
: 17
Birthdate: April 1, 1575
Birthplace: Kingdom of Thailand
Height: 154.9cm (5’1”)
Weight: 47kg (103lbs)

To uphold tradition sounded more like having to chip away at the same piece of bread all day, everyday. And that wasn’t what Maia had in mind when she thought about her future. Being the next blood successor of their village’s sacred practices was an honor most, if not all, the young women in her village could only aspire to be, but Maia had dreams bigger than her small town. Of the silken clothes and vibrant dyes that outsiders would bring, from their gold and silver to the goblets and plates that she’d see laden in their caravans. Maia had no intention of being shackled to her dreary fate in her small town. And so one evening, on the eve of her seventeenth birthday, she slipped out of her bed and crept out of her house down to the stables. She grabbed the first sharp object she could find and untied one of the horses from their posts. With one last silent prayer to her friends and family, Maia rode off into the night, ready to chase whatever awaited her.

Lilith de la Fontaine
Age
: (claims to be) 31
Birthdate: October 13, 1560
Birthplace: Marseille, French Empire (Modern-day France)
Height: 172.7cm (5’8”)
Weight: Refuses to reveal

Blood. So much blood. But her dress was already black, been so black for so long. For all intents and purposes, that ragged old book and that ominous red shard she had purchased from that sniveling merchant should have worked wonders… Her skin was clearer, her wrinkles smooth, and her bones stronger than ever. Lilith felt alive, almost as alive as when she still had William by her side. But that’s all she ever wanted. To bring him back. And no amount of blood spilled has managed to bring back her one and only. Lilith was stronger than that, however. She would persevere, just as she already has been. At least one man was bound to be able to bring William back, it was just a matter of who and when. She sees the man eyeing from down the street. A tinge of a smirk tugs on her lips, and the man starts to approach her. Time to try again.

I'll start coming up with new CaS soon or perhaps start brainstorming for more 2Ps! Until then, everybody <3

Great choices of items. Kind of curious about the greater plot with your characters. Lilith is exceptionally gorgeous.

I honestly have yet to figure out a greater plot for my characters, only that some of them actually cross paths and that's why the initial friction comes in. Even though some of them come off as more villainous than others, there are actual villains in the making for my storyline.

Interesting turtely hat we have here...and color scheme...on lilith, plus she comes from France, that's why she's a beauty hehe, nice touch (de la fontaine)

The turtle hat came as a surprise to me too. Thanks for the compliment!

Very nice creations! I especially like the Voldo mask in Sebastián's hat, and the turtle shell you used to make Lilith's hat. I also like that you include a bit of character lore with your creations to kind of bring them to life a little more.
I've kind of gotten over the lack of items lately and have really started to appreciate the cool stuff people make with their limited options and how they work their way around missing items. I myself am having quite some fun with it now, and unless the DLC is modern equipment, I think I'm only going to enjoy it more.

Olivia: The blue/gold/white scheme is classic paladin. The feminine hat is also an interesting contrast to the bulky breastplate. Very fun, whacky design.

Altair: Hmm. Maybe a little too much detail up top compared to the bottom half. Easily fixed by turning the waist into a solid color. That said, I know a lot of CaSers favor extreme extravagance, so I get where you’re coming from.

Joaquim: The long sleeves does have a certain scholarly look to them. Good fit for an alchemist!

Emmanuel: Damn, that’s fancy. It’s really cool how you merged the two pieces of the flames together and tied it into the belt. Looks like you’re already on top of your ExEq game. I also like how the black on the cape matches the black on the boots.

Sebastian: Veeery cool hat ornament. I like how it’s mostly clipped into the head so you only get the webbing parts and also how you merge it with the feathers. It blended so well, I didn’t even notice until I zoomed in. It’s also a very rakish outfit suitable for his trickster personality. Phenomenal job on this one.

Belladonna: The flowing ribbons actually go really well with the sailor/gypsy angle. I’d definitely look into playing up the gypsy angle like SCV Viola.

Groh: I can’t see the rest of the design, but interesting gauntlet ornamentation.

Sophie: This one is tremendous. I would, however, look into making a custom hat or hairstyle for her using ExEq.

Maia: Very cute. Like an NPC villager in classic PS1 game. Also very nice pattern work on the flower ornament.

Lilith: Lovely. Everything is huge and floaty up top (hat, shawl) and very slim down low. Normally, I’d advocate bulkier equipment down below to balance it off, but she has such a striking profile that I wouldn’t change it at all. You took a huge risk on this one, and it paid off.
