Haven't seen one yet.

Go check Quantum of Solace today. It's James Bond's first direct sequel to a movie and it was good.

Also, make sure to check out 7 Pounds this Christmas season.
 
Transporter 3 looks fun too.

I don't like that bomb setting though. Too similar to that other movie he did where he was an adrenaline junkie. Didn't like that one.
 
Oh man, weren't two Transporters enough? I still remember that part in the second one where he drove his bomb-equipped car off that ramp, did a barrel roll, and managed to get a nearby crane-hook to pluck the bomb off the bottom of his car-- seconds before it exploded. Action movies are really running out of gimmicks. I guess Hollywood feels a need make a trilogy out of anything that grosses over 2 million. Props to Jason Statham for being a successful balding action star though. That's no easy task.
 
I have to say that the new bond movie gets a 4 / 10 from me.

I walked in expecting espionage and witty banter and all I received was EXXXXPPLLLLOOOSSISIIOOONNNSSS!!!!!!.

If this was just titled EXPLOSIONS then I'd be pleased, however I was looking for a Bond movie and this did not deliver. Poor story, reliance on past movies for backstory, and shallow character development are just a handful of my complaints about this movie.

Everyone has to watch REC. It's a spanish horror movie. There's a Hollywood remake, but those are (in most cases) instant fails and so is that one.

You guys better watch it!
 
Sukiyaki Western just came out on Bluray. It's a japanese cowboy spagetti western, filmed with all native japanese actors forced to speak engrish the whole movie. It's just as cheesy and bad as you thought it would be, more entertaining if you watch it with a group of ppl...

I just watched it with a group of people. Thought it was fairly entertaining. Wish there were more fights though
 
Transporter 3, Watchmen, and the Spirit is what im waiting for.

Saw V was some BS ending.
RocknRolla was funny and less actiony than i thought. (Think Usual Suspects except with british people)
 
I disagree about Quantum. Was it as good as Casino Royale? No - but then again, that was far and away the best in the franchise. I read something somewhere else about how this is like Kill Bill Vol. 2, and I agree with that. I thought the opera scene was masterful, as well as the end scenes. My hat's off to whoever thought of the fire scene.

I'd give it 7/10, with Casino Royale being about a 9.5/10.

Oh - and go see Slumdog Millionaire. Great movie, and since Danny Boyle actually came to the sneak preview where I saw it and was AWESOME AS HELL, I recommend it even more that I would if I had just seen the movie (which is spectacular).
 
so who has seen previews for the spirit?

yes, it will probably suck. i ask because i worked for the studio for a couple months helping them with lighting. pretty much the whole movie was done on a green screen. anyway, one day on lunch break i stole his orange tie from wardrobe. actually my roommate did...but it was my birthday so he gave it to me. it's pimp. lol i also got a severed finger, some fake broken glass, a giant chain and some other shit. right now ET rocks the tie and a 40 in my living room.
 
just watched zack and miri make a porno with the girlfriend... elizabeth banks is pretty hot
 
Just watched Sin City again last night, still love it as much as I did when I originally watched it. I'd love to see more movies made in the same line artistically.

Jim Carey, Yes Man. Thoughts?
