You may post all videos related to Viola game-play here in this thread. Since this thread is expected to go on and on, what I will do is consolidate all of each week's videos into this first post (links only to the videos, no full video embedding). Discussions can take place for videos as they are put up, while the consolidation shows you the week's videos that were posted since the last update.

I hope this system will work well. In this case, you can check out any possible videos you missed and then continue your discussion as a post. Please do however, link to the video in question (or at least, the post where the video was shown), though usually discussion by that time has moved to the new videos that are being posted, depending on the number of videos being put up on a weekly basis I mean.

Now there may be new players who have captured videos of their own game-play and want comments and feedback. Such videos and their discussion are also welcome in this thread. So the more experienced Viola players are encouraged to help out with new players in this aspect as well. After all, our aim here is to improve Viola game-play, and any help/support that can be given might serve as a foundation for future possible Viola discoveries or great Viola players.

There is a previous video thread created by Mage for pre-launch video discussion. It is now locked but will be kept around for references.

They patched the game today and they just...

They removed the lilith loop, you know, her combo in the distance with 2B+K BE, now is a shit, 2B+K launch very low now, so low that you can´t even do [2A+B] and get your oponent stuned.

But it don´t ends here, the damage of her 3B has been nerfed too, now is only 15, before was 20... and is more unsafe, before you couldn´t punish it with Leixia 6KK, now you can, is pathetic what they did...

Agh!! I beg, why did I click the spoiler? Well no matter, I'm sure there's more to Viola in some other areas, I mean who knows they might have buffed her in other moves maybe?

By any chance is she the character with the most difficulty in using (as shown in just under her selection?) She's pretty low in most of the areas compared to others, the video I was about to post was deleted...

Oh so now I know why my Viola was getting raped so hard even though I could not remember the move list. Well no loop is great. That means we are forced to play other ways for combos. Honestly of course that change sucks for Viola players, but it does mean that we should be looking for better SC-series-like ways to deal our damage and crush the opponent.

AZ: Yes. Frankly because she is a new character and you have to get used to her orb stuff. Placement does not matter, wherever her orb is, because so long as you do the command to call it back the way you want it to, it will just appear and do its thing. That sucked for me as I was hoping that placement would matter, but oh well. So you got to know exactly what her orb does, and worse, your range without the orb is like silly jack. Any AA/2A by Mitsu/Leixia/Pyrrha can outpoke you easily. Get ready for a world of rage if you go up against such scrubs. JG will negate, but what can you use to punish without the range? Opponent: "Hue-heeh-heeh".

From what I'm noticing u have to have good mind games and frame traps to use her. Shes my tight of character for sure. I have a lot of solid set ups with her.

Edit: something interesting her 8A+B if blocked in the open is very punishable but against the wall its it forces crouch and seems completely safe just a random find.

That's suckish. She was low tier, or thought of as, pre nerf. I mean a damage nerf on her launcher and a nerd to her combo filler is really not neccesary.

Its not even a good infinite XD it would take you years to kill them, you are way better off ringing them out at that point with 6k xD
Well it works anywhere on screen. So ringing out isn't always an option off it. It's stupidly easy to do, so the fact it's there as an option isn't a bad thing.

infinites are bannable offenses. Which means that the throw will be nerfed and im willing to bet that will result in a lost of 3b afterwards.

Yeah, problem is ZWEI can do it too. If anything I'm sure they will just patch it so you can't do normal throws mid combo.

After some thinking, this needs testing to confirm if it is an infinite or not. So I will withhold judgment. For the record, if it happens to be one, it needs a patch. I can understand if you say this needs to be set up and all that and thus it is a valid infinite, but I kind of feel that, more than anything, any infinite will give the game a bad name and that is really what is hurting us more than anything else right now.

Honestly I wish they had thought it through or not rushed development of the game at least. It does feel like they focused, again, too much on casual aspects or game systems, and not enough on making the characters feel uniquely balanced out in some ways or even distinct...or tested properly.

I I don't know if its just me but vs 3b bbb doesn't seem to work I think people can get out before the 3rd b that's why I've been using aab. Correct me if I'm wrong I could just be miss timing it but outside of training I couldn't get bbb to work.

BBB does not work, people can AC out of the 3rd B if they know how. AAB works better.

Also ironically the combo the move list teaches is (far as I know) more damaging than the BE 2B+K ender. The combo in question:

N/Orb 3B AAB 9K 2A+B
vs.
N/Orb 3B AAB 9K 2B+K (BE)

PS: N/Orb is a term I came up with to indicate "no orb". Just use "W/Orb" or "Orb" for combos/moves with orb I guess. Easier than having to keep saying "With orb" "without orb".
