What the Soul Calibur VI trophies tell us about the game (spoilers, obviously)

FallenAngelII

[09] Warrior
So the full trophies list for Soul Calibur VI has been leaked. The game has 49 trophies worth a total of 1200 points on the Playstation 4. They notably tell us what the game has in store for us both in what they contain and what they don't contain. Here's what I've been able to glean from them.

* The base game only has 20 characters who play a part in Soul Chronicle, as there's an achievement for finishing Soul Chronicle with 10 characters and another for finishing it with 20. We can assume Inferno is not one of them and because Tira has been missing from all screenshots of Soul Chronicles insofar, she probably isn't a part of it either unless the DLC somehow adds trophies? Is that even a thing?
* You can play Libra of Souls as either a good or evil character, or in the words of the trophy list, "with the scales tipped towards good/evil". And there's an achievement for both endings, so we'll probably have to finish Libra of Souls twice to get both achievements. Whether we'll have to redo it from scratch on the 2nd gameplay remains to be seen.
* "Turn on standby and get matched with another player while in Training Mode. " - ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It appears you can go straight from Training Mode to online matches, so what's up with having to turn on Standby first?
* We have 2 types of online matches now, Ranked and Casual. It appears Player Matches won't be returning. That or they're called Casual now the non-ranked random match-up type of online matches are gone.
* The trophies confirm we can use Create-a-Soul characters in ranked matches (and presumably Casual matches as well) as there's an achievement for doing so 10 times.

Besides the achievements that require you to finish Libra of Souls twice, most players will be able to unlock all trophies through normal play, which is good.

Is this new feature the ability to play in training mode while watching for your turn in Casual match? Or just Ranked?

Libra of Soul has 9 save slots, Inferno is just a playble boss that has no Soul Chronicle story, & The 20 Character Soul Chronicles Trophy is for the base roster.

how does the ranking system work? like a5 to a1 to b5?

From watching the online beta it goes up in letters and down in numbers, as in E1 is better then E5 that is better then F1.
I don't think that will change, haven't seen anyone with a preview copy able to play online (haven't looked much that is)

If there were any more characters in the base game we would probably know it by now but this is just a logical failure. It says '20 characters' not 'all 20 characters'. There could be 600 characters in the Soul Chronicle but they only give you a trophy for the first 20.
