Most of the thing is just about use photoshop layers and make "holes" with the rubber ,the result is powerful but really is'nt a big job :D

And I love the whiter color on Siegfried's armor. The gold parts stands out very well and the new color just makes him look... really really good!

Lol for many things stylistically SC3 was really great,i place it behind only SC1... many char imho got there theyr best look

Mitsu 1p
Sieg 1p (and 2p was very very cool too)
Voldo 2p (the sun-moon double face,lightyears above any other Voldo design)
Liz 1p
Rock 1p (i don't know if THE best but very very good)
Setsu 1p

...and many other that maybe now i don't remind
 
I like the second Mitsu recolor. I planned on doing this one since it reminds me of his SC1 2P (which I'm sure is what you were going for).

Not directly,but probably i did it unintentionally,SC1 art style(and SC3 too,but less) was teh awesomeness :D
And one of the first try was even more contrast (white lighter,black darker,red more saturated) and close to the SC1 one you said

Good eye,next round i post it! :D

Anyway my biggest test was about understand why that SCV Mitsu seem to me so weak/bland... after tweaking it i think is that soft gray hairs/beard, watching him with in my edit(black/very dark low saturation brown) it just seem tough badass as ever.
Is not an "error",on the contrary reflect the new Mitsu being apparently way less "warrior" and more wise hermit... but still i miss old asskicker Mitsu,so i'm glad a lil colour edit can easy resurrect him :D
 
I don't get the random hate on Naruto, I find that she looks like a typical SC ninja. The Natsu edit seems like a nod to Taki maybe? :) By the way i'm guessing you use Photoshop to do these righ Gatsu?

1-Sure,they may recycle/reworked SCL Maki concept

But c'mon let's be honest, they had the chance to play the replacement card and they used it to marketing blowjob Naruto audience, so many evidences about it(i don't even do the list,references are really easy to see)

As usual click on pics to see real dimension and definition, that Viola -> Amy is a good example,the pic get way better
 
Ivy is royal blue is just delicious, Zebra Voldo is making an amazing fashion statement, and red and gold Mitsurugi looks so fitting. <3
