Changes in SoulCalibur character profiles.

Most of the original cast members (i.e. not the newcomers) have a retelling of their original story, and then some new stuff. It most likely meant when Amy was taking care of Raph (which was during SC3) after he first came back. She got infected or had "mottled black" skin sometime between SC3 and SC4 because you can already see her malfestation. Besides, 17 years have passed. Who knows what in the world could have happened.

EDIT: @christina22 They'll probably just use the same "important" role they had for her originally, except it'll just be included whenever SC5's story is released.
 
I really like how they changed the names for characters.

They assigned the Chai name to Xiba now. And Patroklos's last name is now Alexandra. =DD

Don't worry, Natsu's isn't there either. But in all honesty I prefer Amy to Viola. :p

I just read some of the comments. It would make sense if they Astral Chaos sucked all of the SCIV veterans 17 years in the future or vice versa with the newcomers going 17 years in the past. It could be a reason for everyone to return.
 
E.I.N./Minion is Z.W.E.I's second soul, Ivy, Maxi, Hilde, and Astaroth now have their SC4 bio's again, Mitsurugi is hunting Nightmare instead of ARUGOL. (Yay, Algol is obsolete). Yoshimitsu isn't Yoshimitsu the Second, and Raphael has a bit more sanity and is looking for Soulcalibur to heal Amy. No mention of Raphael or Graf Dumas in Nightmare's bio.

I just realized that. Hopefully Raphael can succeed in finding Soul Calibur to heal Amy. Or even better, if he found Kilik (or Amy finds him. Or he finds her) who has the ability to heal either of them as shown in Raph's SC3 bad ending. It could be an excuse to allow Raphael to slowly creep back to his SC2 self.

The only issue is that if Amy's skin was "Mottled black" that either means that Amy turned into Viola later on or Viola is someone else entirely. Doesn't help that Viola's bio was blank like you guys said. I understand that the whole malfestation thing is tricky but the writing creates doubt. At least to me.
 
I read Leixia's bio, and she has younger twin brothers. In addition to that, she writes poetry, plays the Koto (a Japanese instrument from Natsu perhaps), and her favorite stories are Suikoden and Journey to the West. Seems like they left out the whole thing about Leixia getting the Dvapara Yuga and Xianghua freaking out about it. It did mention however that Leixia did leave the palace in search of adventure, while Xianghua tries to protect her. Maybe she'll get some answers about the Dvapara Yuga from Kilik.
