If you were a mod, what would you do?

I've seen so many status updates with members nominating members and themselves to be promoted to a mod. So, I wonder what you people would do if you were a mod.

What would I do? I don't know... Considering the headaches I've seen Mage go through... I don't think I want to be a mod...

You realise why don't you?

Can't say I'd given it any thought until recently, so just follow the example set by my betters?
Try make as many people as possible feel welcomed and respected, or go on a power spree? Who knows.

Like 75% Of The Players That Are Good Are Mods. Then You Get Players Like Mage And Lobo Who Are Ass At The Game And Cant Take A Joke. At Least Heaton Was A Good Player.

Unfortunately Fenris, you in America have a lot more opportunities to attend tournaments than we do in Europe so I'm sorry I cannot live up to the standards that you have seemingly set for "good" players.

My job is to keep the forum clean and nice for people to read. Not win every tournament.

Good Lord...
To be a mod IMHO, you have to be able to play well with others(even your enemies) while being yourself. Understand you're the "parent" and at times think more on what the "children" need. If someone cries for help, assist them.

If a fight breaks out try to break it up diplomatically or do the best you can. Finally, realize there's gonna be consequences in whatever decision you make and some people won't like it. In due time though, it'd be better to try to get along and get feedback to work together.

From experiences from wanting to become mod and to the recent me leaving, it's how I took it upon myself to take initiative to get the ball rolling.

I'd probably close a ton of threads from ya hydrojames. Then I'd pm you to lend an ear and to get to know you better.

Being a mod is shite and easy for anyone to do providing you aren't a complete cock mongler. It's the other staff members that you have to worry about.

Heh... I could always expect an honest, wise, and polite response from you, Pocky...

Are there any threads that you would close that the mods haven't already claimed? And why?

Over time, I learned that making threads is throwing a Master Ball, as The JWittz puts it, "you have to consider the perfect moment and when you do, make it count".

I'd close threads with topics that have been done, merge it, or what not. I'd also guide you to what you need.
